You cannot change it to my knowledge. This is off hours for support so they may have a better answer for you tomorrow.

Hi,
You can not do it, email is a unique identifier in this case.

I will say one thing though, and that's a suggestion to dev team... because I strictely do not understand the reason behind that "so set in stone fact" that's it's totally linked to one single mail.

Let's say I register to the game using my "official" e-mail, wich means to me the mail I mainly use as linked to my internet provider.
Some time later I decide to change my internet provider, and will maybe then no more have access to my older mail from older provider...

Or let's say I use e-mail from whatever internet based free mail provider (Google, yahoo, or else) and I suspect it to have been hacked (wich could also be true of my "official mail") and I want then to change my e-mail for security reasons...

Doesn't it seem to you the most basic thing to be able to change mail in a form or an other ? through your Fishing Planet Website, or in game ? using a whatever confirmation code either sent to mail or via SMS ?

just a thought though. :steamhappy:
EDIT : I do understand the 1 mail = 1 FP account. But not the fact to not be able to change mail linked to 1 FP account... as long as new mail is ofc not linked to any other FP account.

Sorry if suggestion/questioning is a bit off topic here, but it somewhat follow question from OP -> answer from devs.

Well me like 100's of others loose our old email account if we sign up to another cable provider, like i have just done, we get just 90 days to change all our email registrations we may have, so my old email for my Fishing Planet account will be no more, so what happens if you send a email to my old email i no loger have access to ? or is it purely just a id for identification purposes? thx

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding the whole problem here but to me it sounds like a simple fix would be to simply change the email address associated with your Steam account. Here is a link that tells you how:

Already dont that, but i am on about the email in the game itself.
Slippyfish Aug 4, 2017 @ 12:47pm
As far as I know you are never going to have to verify your email. You'll always be able to log into the game with that email. I can't right now foresee a problem that there might be. If you ever have to contact support simply tell them your situation and both emails.

Yeh, i think you may be right, would like a developer to confirm this for me thou.

Hate to tell you this but I changed my Steam email on a different account and it didn't work.

Edit: Killerwhale or Alex mentioned that they will be giving us the option to change our email addresses. But I cannot see it happening any time soon, so don't get your hopes up !!

Yeh steam email has nothing to do with this games email.

Yea, I know this. This is why I said this:
