Honestly I don't see why not. Should be able to gift money and bitcoins, would encourage more community activities. Players running private events. Me and my friends do our own tourney "who can get the most weight in their net in 30 min" and so on. If you could trade those things we could all give someone their buy in amount and winner take all.

Along those lines much bigger events could be held by the community or just help friends and other players if they need a little cash or coin.

In those events just have everyone post a steam screenshot of their fishnet or the largest fish or whatever and announce the winners that way.

Lots of things could happen if the community could interact with each other like this (as well as other things like trading items and so on).

The baitcoins are either earned or bought so why would the devs care who has them?

The only con is people farming and selling bitcoins, at the moment that is virtually impossible but in the future if it was I still don't see this game suffering from that. There really isn't that many players to support that kind of business. It's a fishing Sim haha, let us have some freedom with what we earn.

Not even sure if worth the effort but here it goes. Say I want to host a Fishing Tournament with rules.

Having Tournaments such as

Longest fish on a given week
Maybe a Tournament using only a light rod / reel / line . Largest Fish
or A rainy day Tourament
Maybe even a Discord Sunday Night Largest Fish ( Where you have to be in
a Certain Discord Channel )
Team Week - Largest 2 per team.


The whole point is being able to have players set up Player Driven / Created Tournaments with prizes, Baitcoin. You buy in for what ever 1 BC and winner takes the pot. Any number of ways this could be pulled off. Some could be public or private Tournaments.

Just thought that having the ability to gift people baitcoins could potentially open up the game a bit more for player driven events and or just gifting say while they have a live stream going.

Image 12 people in discord in a 2 baitcoin buy in Tournament winner takes all on a Sat night or what ever.

Could make something like this for the Tournament for Fishing Planet pretty easy I would think.

I think it would be neat, specially if we could customize rooms a little more. The ability to adjust weather I doubt we could get, then everyone would set their sunny day and fish it up. But tradin these items would allow some flexibility to how we could play.

Thinking outside the box here: Gifting coins would not work, all a person would do is create a lot of steam accounts doing achivements over, and quick early levels to gift bait coins to their main account.
