Different peak times for different fish
Right now, all the fish eats the most at a certain time. What if, they would bite the best at different times from each other?

When we click on the fish types, there would be individual charts for them, or some kind of a fish selection under the peak-times graph to select a fish and see what time is the best.
In the real world, most fish have different schedule..depending on the season/weather, water temp and the fish' own "schedule".

Let's assume the river has:
Salmon
Pike
Carp
Walleye
Catfish

Cloudy
Walleye 5-7ampeak....drops...12pm low....rising..7-9pmpeak

Salmon 6-9am peak..drops...low...rising...8-9pm peak.

Pike 5am..mid......7-11peak..........12pm low...rising....4-8pmpeak...dropping 9pm.

Carp: 5am low....rising ..10-6pm peak...dropping..low 9pm

Catfish 5am low............12pm rising...........6-11pm peak

Nah I don't agree with that.

Carp feed dusk till dawn and throughout the day on and off Hot days 12pm-3pm ish they seek shade or just bask on the top but you still can catch them. On days where the weather is unsettled most fishing is better. Plenty of oxygen in the water and cover from above carp will feed all day. The game doesn't just put peek times it seems to me its set in stone times outside of these times everything goes to sleep for the most part.
Unless a species is dependant on certain conditions like night feeders just as IRL there isnt any time in the 24 hour cycle that a record fish cannot be caught. Less likely but not impossible.

Its like because there is a best time to catch fish doesn't mean you will. See what happens when you spook a shoal of bream or chub. That's your lot matey peak time or no peak time they hit turbo and bug out. Do any of you look out of the window or at your watch and say not going today peak times over and its a tad cold . Ditch it or relax the parameters and not leave this void of nothingness between so called peak hours.

I agree, my whole point was, to have different species feeding at different times and yes most of the time similar fish (predators) would have an overlapsing time, but carp like fish or scavengers (catfish) would get different schedules.
It would eliminate a lot of flat/nothing hours. It doesn't make sense. Most fish feed quite actively all day if the water temperature is right, but each of them has their peak, which maybe slightly off, depending on their species.

On the other side, I don't exactly posted something scientific or ultra realistic. Since the game isn't completely realistic, it was an example.

i think one of the problems is were always fishing the same days & time of year ect.
there was another fishing game a long time ago called fishsim2 and in it you could either fish real time ie same time of year/date and time as irl (so if you loged in at 5:30pm on 1/7 youd be fishing in summer.
you also had the option to set the date your fishing so if you personaly wanted it harder to catch a certain fish youd set it to a cold month ect and it did seem to work preety well :D
would be nice if somthing like this could be implimented :D

I have said it once and i'll say it again despite it being 17 years old for a sim it is the best there is could you imagine if they converted fishsim2 to a FP version. That is what I hped this would be but sriously doubting it.

I have caught a load of fish in Florida during off peak hours, my highest reward so far that I have set for myself is 21000+ at this location and I aim to beat this when the conditions are right, there is more to this game than just fishing, there is also the micro weather system, IE temp side, found this out when doing this,

the second day I went the temp was slightly better, hence a better catch.

Now looking for other locations to do the same in.
