Spreadsheet - Average pay per kilo - W.I.P.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MVthNeh0VrZZ2mxOAqHojrjowkRZwgcQXIgWlq6ErZ8/edit#gid=0

Here is a spreadsheet with expected average pay per kilo.

It might provide useful for new players with small keepnets and little cash on hand.
With a smaller keepnet it is best to keep those fish that pays the most per kilo to get the most out of a days worth of fishing.
It has become more important now with the high travel and license costs.

In tab number 2 you will find the prices for bait as shown in the ingame shop.
Its easy to lose track of bait prices when you are out fishing, and its easy to use bait that cost too much compared to the value of the fish caugth. This apply mostly to smaller fish.

Nicely done!

Thank you :)

If anyone using the spreadsheet and have an update or a suggestion to an improvement of some kind, then feel free to drop me a line in the chat on the spreadsheet.

I'm updating the spreadsheet with Averge Common Sizes of fish thats most commonly caught.
It will display common fish only, no trophies or uniques.

If anyone has some number they want added, feel free to drop me a line here or in the spreadsheet chat.

Well done, you beat me to it. Mine was only like 20% complete (and not as well organized)

Thank you :)
It wasn't my idea to start with. I just copied another spreadsheet as a base and adjusted and added stuff as I saw fit.
I also added a new coloumn today with XP/Cash hints for the easiest catches worth going after, because I myself keep forgetting wich fish gives the best xp =)
so as I was just writing but lost the post -_-

suggestion : why not a column where you multiply ACS by common ?
it would give an average pay per catch

What practical use would that column have?
I can only see one practical use of such a column, and that is if you expencive bait when catching small fish. And a calculation like that I do on the fly. I don't need a whole column for it.
And bait prices you'll see in tab no. 2

The ACS column is useful when you're planning a trip to see wich weightclass gear to bring with you.

I have only one more column planned that would be useful for planning a fishingtrip, and that is a column that shows travel cost/daily stay.
it gives a quick way to see which fish requires more or less catches ?
at least that's my opinion, you don't "have to" add it.
you can already sort by ACS but it doesn't take into account fish value ....

EDIT: I'm just kind of a math freak
if I would download that file I would add :
-pay per fish of ACS, then remove bait price from it => store that in a column
-then from that previous column recalculate earnings per fish

of course it wouldn't take equipment usage into account at this point

anyway, it doesn't really matter, was just my opinion, feel free to add it, or not ^^

Ahh, what you are looking for is the last column, the "Best for XP/Cash".
That is based on my own experience when fishing a location.
That shows you wich fish to go for that is easiest to catch for getting XP and Cash.

An example...: Take a look at Texas - Lone Star Lake.
You'll see that redear sunfish pay more pr. kg. than white crappie, but after my experience white crappie is easier to catch than redear sunfish, so go for the crappie if you want to level up a little faster.
And if your gear is up to it, go for smallmouth buffalo. The don't pay much pr. kg., but gives alot of XP.
The obvious choice for cash is, of course, spotted bass. But you need an advanced license for it

The column you're asking for would seem to be a good choise, but you already have the numbers available on the spreadsheet. Use those numbers as YOU see fit according to your style of fishing.
The XP/Cash column is my version of the same you want, but is more based upon my style of fishing and how easy it is to catch those fish.

Yes I see what you're getting at and I have thought of it myself.
But if you are gonna do it properly, you would have to do a column for EACH bait type since the prices varies and the fish bite on different bait on different times and days.
indeed, I was more thinking of a drop down menu for choosing a bait for the calc otherwise it's too much

but yeah, anyway it's a nice spreadsheet, thanks for that :)

You Sir have done a great job here...
I just hope new players will see it and use it to plan trips along with their net sizes.
It's also great that you added in the first place a reminder of licenses, daily costs and travel costs.

You may want to add the basic license price... I know it's far from popular, but sometimes, for a casual player that may not have the time to go all the way to pay for the advanced, it may be better for him to release the few trophies and nearely half the cost of the advanced... not needed though, totally up to you.

Anyway GREAT job :steamhappy:

Hi! Thanks for that very helpful table! Just wanted to mention that unique walleye is worth 200 per kg :)
Wicked Viking Jul 25, 2017 @ 1:55pm
Noted and updated.
I have not updated the spreadsheet since patch 0.7.9 since I stopped playing FP.
If you, or anyone else, see things that needs an update, then drop a note here.
Wicked Viking Jul 12, 2020 @ 1:55pm
And I'm back at it again.
The spreadsheet is slighty changed and is updated with the latest lakes.
Bait list of prices is slightly changed too and is updated as of july, 2020.

Since I am not level 60 yet, the different prices will only be updated as I level up, or if someone else provides the price per kilo (non premium) here.
