We’ve received comments and support requests from some of you regarding bans related to Denuvo anti-cheat reports, and we understand there are concerns about the accuracy of these restrictions. Our goal is to maintain a positive community atmosphere, ensure fair gameplay, and provide safety for all our players. We want to clear up any misunderstandings about these bans in this post.

Our game utilizes the Denuvo anti-cheat system for PC players to detect the use of third-party software or other means that may subvert game mechanics and gain an unfair advantage. Our EULA strictly prohibits such actions. When the system detects such software, we review the activity and enforce account restrictions in accordance with our rules.

We’ve also been asked if Denuvo might falsely report developers who use their work tools while playing the game. We want to assure you that we have not encountered any false positives of this nature. Our developers regularly play the game using their tools, and we’ve also conducted extensive testing to ensure accuracy.

To maintain the integrity of our security measures, we cannot disclose specific details about the exact software it detects. However, rest assured that the system is designed specifically to identify software that interferes with game mechanics for cheating purposes. Additionally, we carefully review support requests and examine restricted accounts to ensure no mistakes were made, and every time we find proof our anti-cheat system works correctly.

We also advise against using any kind of cheating software of unknown origin downloaded from the internet, as it may not only result in a banned account in Fishing Planet but could also pose serious security risks, including malware that might compromise sensitive data such as payment information.

This is not a ban issue that you have. You cannot equip anymore items because your storage is full.

I used to love playing this game (before I knew Denuvo was in it).

Now I can't play and have switched to Russian Fishing 4 exclusively.

Why can't you play FP with Denuvo?

The game is quite easy to play once you have put in the proper time to follow the progression of early lake lvls. If you skip all that by either cheating or getting either the Congo or Japan DLC, then you'll have a rough time as the learning curve is so much steeper than if you walk through the progression more naturally. You'll never learn the base intricases of the game if you skip all that.

Besides, using game difficulty as a reason to cheat, then this game isn't for you.

I distrust Denuvo and was looking to play this after watching an old Jerma video about it.
Not a chance I'm having that ac software rooting around my Steam Deck.
I guess I can try that Russian Fishing but I will need to research the devs to see their stance on the current state of affairs.
I feel bad for those that invested hundreds of hours into your game before you decided to suddenly add Denuvo. That would have made me uninstall your game without hesitation and never go back.

Was about to reinstall and try this game out again after a long time away, good thing I checked the forums and saw they added denuvo, I was able to stop the download and installation before it was complete.

I'll check back sometime in the future to see if they removed it, if I remember to.

lets no address the 1000's of players having connection issues, lets not address the fact that every reel sounds like you're dragging barbed wire across a chalk board. lets not address the AAA title price dlc's when all you get is a slightly less ♥♥♥♥ boat. lets not address the way they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the leveling system.

lets talk about the anti cheat... personally i dont cheat so i couldnt give a ♥♥♥♥ but why are we talking about this as if you think you know what the fans of the game want. you cant even get us to connect properly when we want to.
