Mighty M'Benga Quest

I didn't have a good spinning rod, so I failed the quest for mbenga. Now I have my third one - which is without time with the shaman duck. Where to catch it? I've been trying to get it for 4 hours with a tropicano rod. Not a single bite of a monster fish.

I had the same problem. I guess my biggest problem was that I was trying to catch it in the same spots I usually catch the regular version. I was even watching others catch the moster in the same exact spots I was trying, but I had no luck after a good 10+ real life hours. Then I saw a video of someone that had the same issue and he went to another spot that I hadn't tried and I got it 2 casts.

UPD. I opened the video. 30 minutes - no monster fish.

It's my own personal unproven opinion that those who don't catch the fish the first time and have to go through the alternate missions that it really messes with the usual spots. At least that was the experience I had. Try a few other vids that show spots that you haven't done and see if that works.

This is just like pikeslasher from Emerald lake, some folks catch it on the first cast and for others weeks will pass...

I had no issues catching any monster until the m'benga. It literally took me almost a year to finally come back to it and try it again. It was very frustrating for sure.

In front or in that area near the waterfall the island where you can start from. Best by boat not by land.

That's where basically everyone caught it according to the dozens of vids I watched when trying to catch it. I had to go half way across the map to finally get it.

Not sure, but I do think that if you don't get it the first time, that waterfall spot goes cold. Again, not one iota of proof to back that up. Just my observations and theories.

No mate, I lost it and got it there but I waited a few days and sweet talked the witch doctor's daughter (standing joke with me with others (friends) who played this map when it first came out).

I got it at the spawn area near the waterfall (I was in a boat) on the second attempt.
