what should i fish for in the everglades?

im asking myself this, cause a 2kg bigmouth bass only gives 4oo fishdollars. compared to walleyes in emerald the walleye wins big time! am i getting the wrong fish? why do people hype everglades up so much? even the 10 kg fishes i found only gave me 1k fish dollars... they dont even give that much exp for the fight they give

Imo florida is only good because the earlier places really suck lol. florida has your first real big fish tarpon and the bass are easy to catch and have plentiful species as for the rest not very much fun at all. The game only opens up once you reach california then its grind city to get to blue crab or willow.

Sadly the game for the most part is in nerf mode . It's not like sitting on a shoal of fish IRL and bagging up on some decent sized fish. Here you are limited on most species (not all) but most . Everything is on a ridiculous timer system i.e. you catch a uni in one spot that's your lot for another 90 mins game time.

Obviously there are different spots you can fish so it a seamless progression that if you have enough spots to fish you will be back at first spot on the 90 min mark. Tbh I don't think there are enough tarpon spots to just exclusively go for them alone but if you target those with snooks+red drum you should be ok.

Also you can pretty much bag up on peacock bass which you'll catch a lot quicker than any fish on the glades and might be more profitable . Float fish @ 12-18 inches 2/0-5/0 hooks and freshwater prawns you'll fill your net.
