Trolling boat

Will i be able to troll: Ukraine (of course), St. Croix, Congo (dont have license but asking just because), Germany etc. with this boat? Can i troll with Crankbait?

from what I have heard it can be used on any freshwater map with a boat dock and you can use any spinning or casting setup.

Yes. Any map with boat access. The trolling sucks, though, I won't lie. You just stick your rod in a generic clamp on rod holder and cruise really slow while staring backwards at the rods because there's no bite alert system in place. You can leave the helm while the boat is trolling, but if you get a fish on you can't stop it, so if you don't land it quickly enough you're boat just keeps going out of your control. If you stay at the helm where you can drop the anchor or get off the gas it's been my experience that you'll lose most of the fish before you can get to the rod.

It's really a very basic (poor) method of trolling, reminiscent of what you might do in a small pond with a bare bones jon boat.

Maybe, but I have a feeling they're not going to. Ozzy is right, too. Any freshwater map. You can't use that boat in the Japan map.

I have a question to piggyback on this one. I know you can only troll with lure setups but can you place match and bottom rods in the rod holders and just use them strictly as rod holders like the Draco boat?

Well that's not what I wanted to hear. Not sure why they wouldn't allow you to use them as just rod holders as well as for trolling like in The Fisherman. I guess I will keep my $25 since I didn't like actually trolling in The Fisherman

I bought the pack and enjoyed some trolling at St. Croix. Yet to get a clear picture of how to do trolling best in game (i do a lot of that IRL btw). But, i managed to catch a Unique Blue Cat with the basic setup from the templates. Anyway, i figure they possibly should add adjust speed/lower anchor from the rear too. But, trolling in low speed, around 4-8 % seems to work well, and just lowering speed at bite and possibly even a bit reverse, rather than dropping anchor.

Yeah, at the very least there ought to be a way to stop the boat without having to go sit in the seat. It's like all they did when they added trolling was lifted the restriction on powering the boat with a rod in the holder.... and apparently added a restriction on the rod holders so you can't do anything with them but half-baked trolling.

Sometimes I really do wonder where these developer's heads are at.

Same. if they patch it so you can put match and bottom rods on the holders, I might buy it. I have no interest in freshwater trolling.
