Boats are a synonym for freedom =) We are working on a lake which would be big enough to have you roaming from one end to another for about 15 minutes or more (depends on how fast we want to make the boat) and not make it boring)
Some mountain lakes are ready for kayaks too.
So yeah, free roaming on lakes.
what about free roaming on land thats 1 major thing missing
Major factors that will influence the success of this game is not being judged by the microtransactions and its freedom in game.
I know we all need to make money but I beg you not to turn greedy. So many games that could have been great can be destroyed by greedy in game microtransactions. Yes you'll make a buck but think about the gamer too..
Being an in real life fishing enthuthiast I am very excited for this game. Not even a week ago I was thinking; "there hasn't been a great fishing game in years" and I was trying to find a copy of 'trophy bass 4' (used to love that game)..then someone told me about Fishing Planet and I got butterflies and excitement.
This will be a great game..think with your hearts and let the creativity flow
On a different note (graphics)
I've wondered if there will be waves in the game. I noticed the lakes are very flat. I love a calm pristine lake in the morning with the fog still on but adding some graphical flare with some subtle waves would be fab.
Another thing I noticed is the reel speed/time to reel in ratio seems unrealistic. Even when realing quickly it seems like it takes a long time to reel something in. Lures look oddly 'small'. Maybe it's a FOV thing I'm not sure. I also noticed that reeling at a slower/medium pace seems off. Have you timed the reeling speed in game with real life reeling speeds to match and be accurate? Or was this a decision based on the fish AI and being a more enjoyable game?
I feel like I could offer some valuable notes and advice. I have a very creative and precise mind. Alright enough blabber from me. Thanks for this amazing game can't wait to see where your team takes it :)
A reminiscent of our earliest days =)
