Are SPOD rods, FEEDER rods and GROUNDBAIT really worth it?

I assume they're worth learning about and using but can I ignore them { or some } and be okay without them?

feeder rods are beginning level low poundage bottom rods. Feeder rods end at about level 27 if i remember right. Spod rods are for throwing out groundbait and the groundbaits are bugged and not functioning right now so don't bother with them until this next update. I've been told there's a fix for groundbait effect in next update.

Spod is used to attract carp and last time I was fishing for carp it worked fine, attracting many unique and trophy, so I don't see anything broken with spods.

For spod to work you need to get good spod mix and tweak it to a perfection.

Yeah now I remember, that was the reason I stopped playing FP it was something to do with recipe mixing it wasn't working few months ago...
I'm about to give FP a try to see if it got fixed.

I tried anyway, you can still make mixes, but it's painstaking process, got to write them down somewhere now. Anyway got 1415lbs or 642kg worth of carp fairly quickly of which I counted 16 uniques and trophy the rest. I used to catch more uniques but it was cloudy day with rain.

I find carp rods, and gear a laughable cash grab and only bought 1 setup to do the carp missions. I have never used it since. I do all my carp fishing with bottom, or float, rods.
In real life a carp rod is only a specialised bottom rod and you can fish however you like with it. In the game you have to buy all "carp" gear and baits for them. The carp boilies are 32BC each but 2 levels later you can buy them for peanuts. This also applies to other gear, and baits, (like shiners and shrimps), so always check ahead before wasting BC.

I think the PVA mesh + spod can bring some great carp. Altho, im not sure which does the main work and how to optimize mixes either, most seems to work in most situations, given the temperature may matter.
