Trophy Walleye?
Hello, Walleye is one of my Favorite fish to catch . In and out of the game. Now that im getting a higher level catching these normal walleyes just aren't cutting it . I know about casting 200 feet out towards the trees with spoons, fwhich produced a crazy amount of fish. But what do the trophies bite on ? I caught one on a 3in shad one time and have threw 1000 casts since then with all types of shad and can not hook one. Put on a spoon and you catch a small one first cast its bs.
Anybody know the secret for the Trophy Walleye?

It's easy. The secret to catching trophy Walleye is to keep doing what you are doing. It'll happen. I've caught Trophy Walleye on 3" Shad, 3" Worm, and Spoons. There is no "magic" lure for them, regardless of what people will try to tell you. The Trophy fish take the same lures as the normal ones.

Narrow Purple 1/4oz #1/0 spoon

Med Red/Lemon Tiger spoons

Yellow or White 3" shad + 1/3oz #2/0

I have personaly caught Trophy Walleye with all the above lures. Seems like if you jig it properly, its light color, and hook is proper size they will hit it!

Idk what you guys are doing but, i've thrown every single lure described here for hours and hours and caught small walleye but no trophy, peak hours, dawn , dusk, slow reel, twitching, jerking , jigging. At the tree, to the right of it, left of it. Trophys will not bite on medium spoons ill have to say your full of it

Well thats where your wrong....have got a single trophy on the Red Tiger.....2 on the Lemon Tiger.....and about 5 on the purple narrow....

Why on earth would anyone lie to you?!?
Dont ask for help and then be a jerk when said help in given....

Maybe the issue is not the lure...but your skill in jigging.

Well it frustrates me when people tell me the same lures i have thrown and thrown and thrown. I've thrown the red and lemon tiger more then any other spoon and have not had a trophy hit. I've tried so many jigging methods its not even funny. I can throw a spoon out and jig it twice and catch one, but 10/10 its not a trophy. So thats why i asked.

When i got the game , tons of people where catching trophies in chat, now that i learned i have caught only 1 on the yellow and red shad for gold.. Pretty bull.

I can also verify that medium spoons work for trophies. I think all of my trophy walleyes have come off of either gold or silver medium spoons.

TBH I have had alot more luck....just with walleye in general with the purple narrow spoon.

I have absolutly ZERO reason to lie to you man...and if you ask anyone thats seen me ingame I do like to help people....I do like getting people on the fish they after. These replys are legit man, I can atest to that personaly.

Add me on steam if ya want....if your still having issues this afternoon I can fire up a twitch stream and we can try and figure it out (would be at the least couple hrs from now).

And just FYI....i dont buy much gold stuff...so Im NOT using lures purchased for gold....

Im actually trying to save as much gold as possibe for endgame tackle lol.

After you told me i had one i never used, caught a limit but no trophys, my quest of a stringer full of trophies is looking pretty bleak. After about 5 -- 5 day trips of whole limits of walleyes and not a single trophy im just thinking about giving it up. It cant compete with north carolinas 5 day limit of bass in 30 min real time. 2-3 trophy bass every day.

I can't emphasize on how much i threw them spoons and not a single trophy, yet people saying they work? Acouple patches ago maybe.

Well Trophy Bass i catch 4+ in like 3 ingame hours in Missouri.... just with the normal bass jig / casting spoon 9g #3/0

Well some people have better luck then others i guess, tried for trophy bass in missouri and only caught 1. Never caught the trophy pike either.
When i first got in the game everybody was catching trophy walleye, like legit everyone. Now its like 1 person every hour

I was there LAST NIGHT throwing these spoons and catching trophy walleye...

IDK..alot of what your saying seems very VERY off...was in NY damn near all day yesterday and people were slayin the trophys!
