Taking multiple Stringers/Keepnets
Hey i was just wondering why we can't take multiple stringers/keepnets. It's quite easy to take 2 in real life and I'd say max it out at 3. Maybe say you need a "Hobbygear" bag for 2 stringers and a "Tackle box" for 2 nets. Just an idea and wanna know if this could be made possible.

Thanks.

Hey! A nice idea need to think about that, but that would influence the balance, need to put a thought in it.

Alright, thanks for your quick reply and keep up the good work!

Well, if you do so, Alex, you have to introduce a max weight per day for fishing fishes. I do not think, that locations allow you fishing tonns of fishes. At the end you can leave it as it is.

THIS!!

Also OP there are places with regulations regarding how many strigers/keepnets per fisherman there can be. As I understand it places with these type rules peg it to your fishing license (as in '2 strigers allowed per license or some such).

I would LOVE to see 2 (yes..ONLY 2) strigers or nets be equiped at once, BUT if this happens there should be some daily limit on a per fish basis.
NOWHERE in the world can you legaly catch and take home 200+ pounds of trout in a single day(or any other gamefish, was example). There is no one foolish enough to allow this.....would be more more fishes left in the world if that was the case =)

Haveing a deaper look at it, i also would love the weight per day solution. This will also higher lvl players with bigger fishkeepers restrict to an amount of fishes and they are not able of grinding for example panfishes to finish the panfish dominator acheivement in on game day, extremly said.

The size of your fish keeper is a measure of your evolution, a big part of game balance as it was designed. I don't think that a change here is recommended or wanted.

Also, a max. weight / day is a restrictive measure. Nobody knows how many hours someone want or can play, so why to limit the playing time? Again, NO!

I think just allowing 2 stringers OR 2 nets will mean you don't even need a limitation. You can only get about 12 pound/net so you will automatically be limited no? Oh well, might be worth thinking about it.

Max weight measurements seem a bit overkill to me too. 2 stringers or 2 nets is not too crazy i think. Adds to the realism imo.

How would this limit playtime??
You do realize there is a mechanic ingame for skipping time forward?

The biggest net ingame right now holds 122pounds of fish.......allowing 2 nets would be 244 pounds of fish......

YES, if this was implemented there would need to be something in place for daily pr fish limits.
And really this is how is SHOULD be anyway! Esp in the USA!!!
Thats how its done here in the states....every fish has size limit and daily bag limit. Now, keep in mind this daily limit is PER FISH and has NOTHING to with weight. Here in Texas my daily limit of speakled trout is 5....does not matter how much each fish weights.
This is how it should be ingame imho....size limit and daily bag limit.

Well, for sure, if you do it right, there are no limitations, how long you are staying at a location, so i don't see, where a limit of playing time is made there! But anyway just my 2 cent.

EDIT: I only see, that this may make the game easier for low lvl anglers :-)

How about just one net and one stringer allowed? And give the choice which to add to when keeping a fish.
Adrenaline Aug 20, 2015 @ 6:58am
Oh god, I started something I see :P . Maybe just keep it as it is Alex, was just a suggestion but i think we have too many clashing opinions. The sim/game is good as it is and if the opnions go both ways we might be better off keeping it how it is ;-)

@SydKhaos:

1. i know that game has a time skip mechanism. Actually i know much more than you think about the game, as long as i play from day 1 of Closed Beta and i wrote the game Wiki! ;)
2. the biggest net in game is actually a stringer and holds 265 lb.

@ LuckyLuke:

1. who cares if i want to stay from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Mudwater River and get 0.3 lb. pumpkinseed and at the end of the day i have 100 lb. or if i go to California, get 7-8 striped bass and i fill the biggest stringer in 1 hour?! I want to be free to fish as long as i want, in any way i want!

I don't think so. It is worth to speak about. But from the developer point of view, i think the expenditure is much higher as the use, so from this point of view, i think it should be as it is. Both solutions are not so a big difference, imho.

Sorry, Jack. Because of beeing able of time fast-forwarding, i don't see your point.
