Catching catfish with lures

Some say, you can catch catfish only with bait. I was once bass fishing with a golden spoon and pulled out a 3.6 lb channel cat in MO. Spoon was running rather deep, though.

Anyone else done it? Just curious :)

I've caught a few catfish and once a carp on lures. It's much less common in my experience and not something I try to do. Still, it might be interesting to include the possibility in the game even if as a very minor possibility.

Well, I am now lvl14 and it happened to me only once. Was a nice surprise, though. It adds that bit of realistic randomness into the game that players long for.

Wow, that carp must have been hungry :)
