Devs:How RMB should work.
When using RMB:
The stress on the reel, line, and rod should go up greatly when using RMB in a fish fight, espeically if the fish is on a run and pulling against it would put a lot of stress on the line, and chances to rip out the hook or break greatly increase.
If the fish is comming towards you then of course it wouldn't have the stress on the line etc.

This would stop the RMB spamming so much and make it more challenging and realistic.

Ha, I just discovered this technique the last few days (RMB spamming) and was thinking, "Wow, so easy now! Why didn't I think of this before?!"....but then, after a couple of days I thought, "Man, they need to change this because now that I know this, it's waaaay too easy to pull in the trophies that before were quite a struggle." :D Glad it's getting balanced.

Oh great to hear. Now if the update would only get here ;)

On a side note with fish-fights I know there is a timer of some sort in place where the fish will escape no matter what after a certain amount of time. I hope this goes away.

I only know it for bass in Mudwater and I am sure of it with northern pike in New York. For soem fun I use 4lbs mono line to bring northern pike in. With this line it can take over two minutes to bring one in, if it runs out 140 feet+. After about a two minute fight, no matter where he is, he'll escape with no fault of my own. I know this because several have escaped at about the same amount of time. It is about 2 minutes I believe. And I can recreate this scenario easily.

Hopefully I am wrong, but when I bring it up in chat, others have noticed it too. And I think I have seen it in this forum as well. An arbitrary timer should not be in this. After two minutes or so, he should not escape - quite the opposite - he should be tired and easier to bring in.

My two cents. Thanks

Edit: I use as light as line as possible now to add to the challenge (even though it is still easy) of bringing a fish in. This challenge helps with the grind feeling if it helps anyone else. Increase the challenge, and I find it takes my mind off of the easy repetitiveness.

well, when that update comes out i'll play some more. This latest update feels like a hackjob to appease the people screaming for you to patch now and hasn't helped a thing.

.

I noticed that too, if there is a timer I hope they remove it should go on how good the person does not a random timer.
