I dont think anyone is suggesting they ban for using keybinds....
Its when multiple times inputes can be triggered with one button press.....thats NOT a keybind. Its automation.
This distinction needs to be made early I think ya.
I think the distinction is bot or automatic fish catchers. Something that doesn't require the user to be actively playing.
Many people suffer from carpal tunnel. It would seem extreme that they would be banned for multiple clicks per press.
This is exactly what I was thinking, for gamers who suffer from carpal tunnel it seems unfair for them to be banned because they use macros to fish. 2 years ago I started to get symptoms of carpal tunnel and it sucked, went to the doctors, I don't have carpal tunnel went through physo which helped lessen the pain a lot, but I still sometimes get pain in my wrist. So if I was to get banned for using a macro key that lessens my pain that's unfair, splints can only do so much.
If a user is using a bot where they can walk away from the computer then sure, I would classify that as a fishing bot. But if someone is using a macro that they keep activating themself to fish then that is okay IMO. I use my action lock feature on my MMO7 right now for reeling but I think I can also set macros on that mouse.
I would agree with the first statement....turbo on gamepad is a form of automation. And this is where/why the line needs to be drawn. While turbo is technicaly automation you can mimic it if fast enough. Alot of macros using timing that no human could mimic no matter how fast/good.
This bit about people with carpal tunnel......I understand that soemthing like a macro may be able to help play a game like this BUT there has to be a line draw.
This entire thread is aimed at competative fairness...I really hope everyone can see that ya. Its not about excluding people because they have carpal or athritus....its not about excluding those with keyboard/mice because they have em. Its about making a fair and balanced playing field for a competative game. And to do that some people that NEED automation may be left out. That would be very unfortunate but in a competative environment this balance must be found. Can there be a middle ground? What would allow someone with carpal to play for example....but can not be exploited to get edge in competition..
edit:
And just a FYI I have beging arthritus in both hands....not super bad yet but long periods of gaming can get very painful. I assure you my concerns are 100% about competative fairness.
If it can be made...it can be sold...and people will buy and use it.
This seems to be the mantra for all games I've played in my time. The fact that people who use these things are only fooling and cheating themselves seems to matter not one bit!
Many gamers want the easy life, many want to avoid the grind that everyone else has to suffer through, many just want to see their name up in lights on a leaderboard.
It's just a sad fact of gaming life these days!
so don't play the fool guys...
Most game devs want to put a stop to it and do not warn the baddies abt it..
Wow, I didn't realize fishing was so serious that people need their e-penis boost from it by using bots.
Not sure I understand this are you talking mouse with Macro if so REALLY you would be kicking out half your players in game I would think. That would be NUTS
No they are actually calling out a exploid that you can use with packadge editing. Where you can just send a packadge to the server (Witch the server sees and thinks you have castet multiple times) and then sen the packadge of a success strike and then the packadge of a reel in) so the whole experience is taking around 5 seconds and you have alread 4 fishes in the net.
That is what they are calling out here.
Your really have no idea what Bots/Scripts/Hacks are......?
If not..... im shocked.
The only reason i found this game is because i recently rolled my semi truck over on its side due to a trailer tire popping around a 20 mph ramp and 44,000 pounds of nickel metal shifting to one side of the trailer and tipping me over. I havent been able to work and found this awesome game.
I had glass embedded deep in my hand and had to have surgery to have it all removed and get my tendons repaired... i cant be slamming my mouse over and over all day.
I had to go to the best hand surgeons in the world, Kleinert Kutz | Hand Care Center, the first people to successfully do a hand transplant because no other hospital would even attempt to help me for fear of further damaging my hand....
Furthermore there is no where to view any game rules at all..... so to my knowledge using my brain to figure out how to catch a fish then recording my own personal movement i made manually with my own hand and binding it to a button is not illegal.
If so, keep in mind i have all websites and forums recorded and screenshotted, and the 3rd party eula, all saved.
No way could i possibly know that using my own movement was against any rules, there are no rules for me to read.
