St. Croix Michigan does seem to be even better than Alberta though { I haven't gone yet but read a lot about that location }.
Does "nerf" means that they made some rods weaker or less effective at catching fish?
Pike are much more challenging to reel in at lower levels. The other 3 mentioned are better xp & money per weight. Granted they're smaller and take more fish to fill a net. I can still fill a net of bass in FL much quicker than pike in MI (finding the right holes during peak times is constantly reeling in nice size bass at FL). Not uncommon to reel in more weight with walleye, bass & trout in MI than most people around my level targeting pike.

FP collective has maps with fish caught in specific locations on all the lakes, if you're struggling a bit at a certain place.
