don't forget the rod pods, bells and bite alarms! :) I like to multitask when I bait fish.

Bottom fishing would be good in MI. If they would only change their bobber (float) system to a slip bobber system that would work. Just remove max depth setting. I fish on the bottom where the water is less than 99" (250cm) and either semi-tightline or retrive slowly and watch tension for hit.

Look around to find out what is planned for the game and you find that bottom fishing has been planned for a long time. Sinkers are even listed in the store as "coming..."

It's gonna be soooo good. Call it ledger or feeder fishing round here. I used to do it a lot for carp with big feeders.

I'm gonna have to try that.

Nice and relaxing way to fish, just sit back and wait for the buzzer to sound, throw your mug of soup to the ground and away you go. lol.

We have comnercial carp lakes around here but everyone uses really crude tactics and rigs. I'm trying to get into euro style carp fishing and feel like it would give me a huge advantage but I'm having difficulty deciding on a hook style. I've been using a particle mix of wheat bran, sweet corn, instant oats and maize flour and it works spectacularly well but I rarley get a good hookup. The bait is out for 5 - 10min and i'm already getting bites (probably just line bites or the fish hitting my mainline) but I have spent 5 - 6 hours and only managed to hook up with one fish. Any hook length and hook style recommendations?

I have not fished for years but look for Mat Hayes on you tube. He had a lot of carp fishing vids a long time ago. Had a TV series on it. I preferd Pike fishing over Carping. I used the Boilie on a floating hook setup with a running feeder full of ground bait with chopped Boilies and Maggots in. Did the job back then. A lot use rigid pole setups with fixed rigs and elastic. Never understood that though.

Its one of the things they are going to do.
It's just a matter of where it is on their todo-list

thing is this is a CORE part of fishing and SHOULD have been implimented before anything else. people can argue all they want, but bottom fishing is CORE and its how fishing started out. (other then hands/spears/nets) using lures for fishing shoulda have waited in this game. Not to mention the limitations they put on float fishing.. its a joke. should be able to put ANY lure on with a bobber. Any hook/line/reel/etc any fishing setup on any of the rods. And use those rods for both float /lure etc.

the game as it stands isn't realistic at all when it comes down to gear, how you can use that gear etc.

Sorry if you don't agree , but the truth is the truth. I hope someday they listen and make the proper adjustments.

p.s. Float fishing is the most common method used in fishing to date. Also they gotta start somwhere and float fishing and lure fishing cover the largest demographic. .l..
