Nero
Exterminator 5500
20lb Braid

Thats what i use to catch 90lb gar.

That being said, i would also like to see baitcaster reels and rods have the ability to bait fish.
And yes i agree we need stronger Match/telescopic rods.

There is this kind of setup. You just have to find the right one. Look on Youtube and the pinned thread for uni's/trophies, most players have a screenshot of their tackle.

TY for comment

By "definition", match fishing implies a long flexible rod, light reel and thin lines, targetting coarse fish. Or that how British, who invented it, defines it. And the target fish does not exceds 10 kg (20 lb.) in weight. For big fish (large catfish, carp, gar etc.) other techniques and special designed tackle are used.

But, for the moment, in game we don't have "specialized" tackle for large fish. Probably will be added beside bottom fishing. Until then, we have to handle "monsters" using rods that are not designed for them.

So, rods and reels for float/match fishing, capable to handle with ease a 50 lb. fish are not something i see added. But, as some of you suggested, use of heavy spinning tackle (sorry, but casting tackle is not the best choice), as it's actually used in many parts of the world, for float fishing, can be a short-term solution.

Reels like the Vorex and Helios are similar to what i have used while using Bait, ocean fishing. Sure the little ones like the attorney & low dex are more for jigging.... but the larger bait casters can be and are used for larger fish while using bait.
