reset?
I'm not talking about a reset. I'm talking about it reeling in on a speed other than speed 4, when its set on speed 4 and theres a fish nibbling on the hook. The only time this happens is when something is messing with your hook.
I thought I explained it well enough, but go ahead and follow my instructions then come back and tell me what you experience.
Exactly. Finially someone else that both understands and is just as frustrated with a terriable mechanic.
i guess every hotfix breaks something new these days...
i see this problem too . Devs fix one thing and break ten xD
Like I said for a work-around is set your speed to 3 and it should stop. Figured this out carp fishing. Yes it should be fixed but I guess it's more productive to not try something that will work till it gets sorted out.
Ok. First, again I'm not talking about when a fish gets on and then off a line (fish left the area message). I am NOT talking about any reel speed reset. Please understand that before you reply again with something completely different than what I am describing. I explained it 3 times already, and still you don't seem to grasp the issue I am describing.
Steps to reproduce:
Step 1. Cast out and leave excess slack.
Step 2. Set reel speed to 4, reel in to notice speed at which it reels.
Step 3. Wait for fish to start nibbling.
Step 4. As soon as a fish starts nibbling (notice the fish isn't hooked yet, its still nibbling, AND it hasn't left yet), reel in (hold the left mouse button down) and notice how slow it reels in. EVEN WHEN ITS SET ON SPEED 4. You'll also notice your tension meter flashing like crazy when in this super silly reel mode.
Notice this doesn't have anything to do with the reel speed indicator, because its still set on speed 4. Nothing was reset. No fish was ever hooked or left the area in my example for it to cause what you are describing.
What we have here is a failure to communicate.
#twoseperateissues
What would be more productive is actually discussing the same problem. Please try my steps to reproduce. Then come back and lets talk.
Its a problem because if I want to reel in fast to take up excess slack before I set the hook, you can't. Even on speed 4, the game goes into super silly reel in mode for some unknown reason.
If I wanted to reel in slowly to avoid scaring the fish, I would manually adjust the reel in speed to 1.
When theres 10 feet of slack in the line, the game shouldn't report that theres tension on the line.
How ironic, you complain about complainers. Leave the hypocrisy at home please. I complain because this issue is a direct cause of not being able to catch a fish and results in bait stolen or lost messages.
