Bowfin hunting in mud river.

Just trying to get the last fish I need for this challenge in the 1 day I paid for, I brought a 2" grub, 2" and 3" white shad's, two slop spoons and two spinners. What are the odds I can even get one on what I brought? I have had no luck so far spent most of an in game day looking for one.

You can get one. Try the larger shad and then the heaviest slop spoon. Bowfin get very large at Mudwater River so watch out.

Not sure your level, but if you have access to crankbait, then use that. They love crankbaits.

I ended up having no luck and then coming back a second day with a plopper and got a trophy one second cast, lol.

IRL we catch grennel with yoyo's or jugs and minnows, or any real bait- as a trash fish while we're trying to catfish or something. I've never had them hit my bass or crappie rigs. Does this game make them like bass or something?

I've had them hit spinning lures IRL. If they eat minnows why do you think they wouldn't hit lures?
