The crap anti cheat

Note to the Devs.
This is a great game which my self and many other players have used their hard eared cash on, but either use a better anti-cheat system and remove that CRAP Denuvo system.
EVERY time I start the game I get the message Game needs some piece of $*** you lot make us need. I have repeatedly uninstall it and reboot the game. I have read that it even has BANNED loyal players of the game. So please give your heads a shake, insert a sanity chip and do as your loyal pay customers want.

Most of us want the cheaters gone, so not sure where you're coming from and what you think you want the devs to change for you. Not sure you can prove that FP has banned loyal players. Besides, loyal does not equal honest.

I'm a loyal paying customer and I don't care about Denuvo one way or the other. If the player count is any indication, no one else does either. Even if a bunch of "loyal" people quit new ones who have not bought any DLC yet enter the game every day.

If you read the posts on the forums players blocked/ banned whatever with this rubbish bit of software.
In answer to the question (which was expected by some , made me laugh though) No I don't want to cheat..never have.
All I mean is install an anti-cheat that WORKS.
When I told my son about the problem I was having..he said straight away and he said "DENUVO? why did the devs pick that piece of rubbish?" and he's an avid gamer for years.
In answer to Geauxboy yes glad cheaters are gone, but I'm not one..try reading my post ..We need to get the game going with no problems.

No one seems to be talking that kindly about Denuvo, so most of us are on the same page. I don't like it either as it seems to be possibly related to some performance issues I have been having on other games since installing Denuvo. I know their track record has been suspect to say the least.

Yeah, all those posts on the forum..... nearly all of them are either lying (most of them) or were running something like Cheat Engine which they claim they were using "for other games". A few of them probably were. Of that few, most of them were probably trying to use it for Fishing Planet. Then there's a handful of "totally banned for no reason" people who have repeatedly evaded all questions of whether they were using Cheat Engine at all for anything at any time. It's not hard to understand why.

There's no reason to think anything is wrong here and you shouldn't be so gullible to believe Denuvo is flagging people for no reason just because some of them are claiming they were banned for no reason. Nearly all of them are lying and trying to either get their bans lifted before their pond passes and/or premium expires or get the anti-cheat removed so they can go back to botting, ESPing, insta-reeling and stealing DLC.

EDIT: The reason people don't like Denuvo is because it's kernel level software and reportedly can damage hardware, not because it has a reputation for false flagging.

Once again, Denuvo is not banning anyone. It flags accounts then FP investigates and responds accordingly. If you have cheat software on the PC and Deuvo detects it you get flagged. It doesn't care whether it detects it for FP or not. Then it's the game developer's decision to ban or not. At least one person swore up and down they didn't cheat in this or any game but then later admitted to having a cheat program on his account. He was also trying to blame it on his mouse software because he used it for key binding.

This is true i have seen ( pretty sure ) the exact post Ozzy is talking about and ive seen others just like it.

My new normal routine for playing Fishing planet.
1. Start STEAM.
2.. Check start up services locate DENUVO Update(which showing not working)
3 .Start Fishing Planet and get message This game needs Denuvo (I usually miss this out and go straight to no 4.
4. Go to add/remove progams and remove Denuvo update service.
5. Start Fishing Planet Presto it works!! with a fresh download of Denuvo .
It's like sham poo, wash rinse repeat eg. for those suffering the same BS as me goto 2, if you quit the game.
For all the cheat accusers out there, not bother replying coz i ain't taking notice. <Message Ends>
