thats a really cool halloween event, too bad i cant fu***ng enjoy it because im lvl 40 and i would need to be at least lvl 73 to get the required gear and locations. Seriously why is everything about this game so pathetic? And why people still pay for anything in this game???

Free to play just means you can play it freely. It doesn't mean you have immediate access to everything and the devs take that last part seriously lol. When the ocean DLC released and people saw the level requirement, it was a non stop fuss fest. Halloween is no different. It's a ploy to try to get you to buy the DLC's, BUT the stuff in said packs are valued high (In bait coin vs real money ratios.) so that is entirely up to you.

I've spent money in this game, not a heinous amount, around 130, and I've had quite a good time with it.

You're comparing a DLC to a seasonal event. Buying a DLC will last you forever, this seasonal event will only be around for 2 weeks, there is a VERY big difference there.

No, I am not comparing anything. I am saying that the pack is specifically designed to help you complete the event. HOWEVER, it also gives you some strong rods/reels to help with the main game. It's just how the events roll in FP. I don't like it anymore than you, but she said herself in her post on the event page. You can buy the pack and it gives you everything you need to complete the event OR you can come back next year when you're ready.

Yes, I think game devs that charge 40 USD to have a clean boat window are greedy. It's unsurprising that people are complaining that they reduced how F2P friendly their holiday events were traditionally.

Telling somebody "sorry come again next time" to a seasonal event is NOT a solution. Because what this is setting in motion is resentment and hate, not retention. I have no issues giving this game money as I have plenty to throw away, but for me to give money I need my time to be respected and I need to feel good about giving my money. If I sense greed or just purposely cash grab attempts my wallet goes right back in my pocket. If they want money they need to be in good standing with the community and those who are willing to spend. So speak with your wallet because words won't change their minds.
