Why So Predatory Event

So I just got back into the game to try this event. I tend to miss most of them due to life but I've got to say this is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

At first I'm enjoying the game doing the first few quest, catching some trouts and what not, catching some fireflies etc.

I get to the point were I need to catch the big fish, so I equip one of my best bottom fishing kits and proceed to learn how to use bait mix, I mix up my bait and think.. maybe I need a slingshot to throw it out far, so I leave and come back and my bait is gone... fine my mistake.

I realize I don't need a slingshot and couldn't find one anyway so I proceed to buy more bait with real money and throw the bait in the water, I proceed to throw my rod out and wait. I get a bite!! hell yeah I think to myself, only for the game to tell me 10 seconds into fighting the fish that my gear was not good enough... okay well now I know if I leave I'll lose my bait... fine I leave. I set up a better outfit and when I tried to move the leader... it just exploded and vanished.

Is this seriously how this is intended to be? getting gut punched for money at every turn? Because this is some EA level kind of behavior I get it that ya'll need to make money but this is just cruel.

The event is apparently being catered to level >78. Access to all the locations is not possible until that level. Fishing Planet has effectively removed ~90% of its online player base from the event in that move alone. Then, they make the bait system for it so nose-bleed expensive and chance driven the final price is a mystery. Their marketing team is not doing well.

I'm shocked at this new event and I'm lvl 90.

1. The amount of BC you need to buy event baits for so few baits.
2. The wheels only give 1 bait (if you get bait). Like wtf?
3. The original event missions are gone (finished it years ago).
4. The level you need to be to even think about doing a decent amount of this event.

Fortunately for me I don't care about these multiplayer events and it'd suit me just fine if they stopped them altogether. In all my years of playing multiplayer games the one singular event I ever cared about in any of them was the Christmas snowball event in Aion because you could get filthy freakin' rich off of it and it was the only time of the year I could actually afford things like gold para-stones or the hundreds of good manastones it took to upgrade all my gear.

I mean people keep giving them money and making excuses for them no matter how predatory they get, so why wouldn't they keep getting worse? Where's the incentive to back away from the scumbag behavior?

Game is an attempt to print money - I stopped giving them pennies years ago - Just look at the new map absolute trash unless you buy the DLC.

The new event serves as another proof of the goal set by the owners of the game - the gradual transformation of the previously free game into a fully paid one.
1. The old free events have disappeared.
2. The main number of players of low and medium levels cannot pass this event due to the lack of equipment of level 75-83. To pass, you need to buy DLC for $ 30.
3. Reducing the points of issue - instead of 56 pumpkins and tombstones, there are 12 steering wheels.
4. Giving out 1 piece of free bait on the steering wheel instead of 13 pieces.
5. The issuance of useless items for the event (frogs, sweets, etc.) on the steering wheels, which again leads to a decrease in the number of free baits.
6. Crazy Bаitcoin prices for event bait (3 honey for catching carp cost 13 baitcoins, etc.)
These are the facts.
The impression is that the marketing team of the game set out to gradually eliminate all players to one and lead the owners to ruin.

Totally agree i have spent nearly 300 bc' for little return. Where coin you earn is useless in the game as is. I will continue with this event but that is it for me. Dumb and stupid the delvs. have come. Club league looks like it going to Hades as well if they keep this outlandish crap for the future.
The glitches and lost connection all day as pissed me right off.

I also dont do the scam events or comps or groups ect like the bait they sell for a special coin not even BC but just for groups or whatever it is. I dont even mess with it. Waste of time.

The fact is that the participation or non-participation of people in a particular event in the game (or participation in the game itself) is the result of high-quality or low-quality work by the developers of the event (or the game itself). The only criterion for whether this work is done qualitatively or not is the massive participation of players in the event (game) and the overwhelming number of positive reviews about this event. People play computer games with different goals (psychological relief, a change of occupation or distraction from unpleasant thoughts, the opportunity to become the best, achieve goals, receive rewards, etc., etc.). But the most important condition will always be to enjoy the game, pleasure, not overshadowed by the realities of everyday life, from which they leave into the game. And when elements of capitalization, trading platforms and exchanges begin to be introduced into the familiar, much-loved game with elements of fantasy and fairy tales, not disdaining even direct cheating, people see how the fantasy world is being destroyed and gradually begins to turn into ordinary life. Then why should they play? They see this every day in real life. So they leave.

I appreciate all the feedback from the community. I've learned that at level 46 I literally cannot participate in this event and it's a shame that it won't let people know this before they invest their time and money into even trying. It's such a shame that this game has come this low just because of greed. There is literally no competition for fishing games IMO, I use to play Russian Fishing before jumping into this game.

This is truly a disappointing experience, most games use seasonal events to lure players back but not this game... this game uses it to exploit those silly enough to even try.

Prior to this I had no issues giving this game money, I've bought a few DLC (bass boat dlc) and was going to buy the new sea boat one as well but this experience has truly left me disliking this game a lot.

makes it extra depressing that winter is here and going fishing IRL is not really an option at the moment.

Almost exactly 24 hours ago it was announced that the amount of bait received from wheels was increased (I was getting 3 per wheel today), and also the event specific baits roll more frequently on the wheels.

Even without that, it's looking like you need to buy about 200 baitcoins worth of bait to complete the event, but then you get a free rod and reel that sell for 503 baitcoins, plus some other stuff. So if you're adequate level and have the time to complete this event, it can be a baitcoin making exercise. It's actually quite a fun event with lots of different monster fish, taking you all over the place, including to Japan (you get the pass to go there and the free rod is saltwater).

The level requirement does lock tons of people out of the event unless they pay, but then again it's the same with Kaiji and Congo etc. Probably would of made more sense to make it a 3 part event rather than 2 part, and the new 1st part could be a level unrestricted thing with no baitcoin costs.

At the moment, you are giving incorrect information. I have just passed through the steering wheels (bait distribution points) - as 1 bait was issued, so 1 is issued.

You get 3 flies from reel but other stuff comes by 1, like ♥♥♥♥ and them round things.
I didn't receive any flies on Steam, but on PlayStation I got 3 flies from 1 spin
