Why So Predatory Event
So I just got back into the game to try this event. I tend to miss most of them due to life but I've got to say this is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

At first I'm enjoying the game doing the first few quest, catching some trouts and what not, catching some fireflies etc.

I get to the point were I need to catch the big fish, so I equip one of my best bottom fishing kits and proceed to learn how to use bait mix, I mix up my bait and think.. maybe I need a slingshot to throw it out far, so I leave and come back and my bait is gone... fine my mistake.

I realize I don't need a slingshot and couldn't find one anyway so I proceed to buy more bait with real money and throw the bait in the water, I proceed to throw my rod out and wait. I get a bite!! hell yeah I think to myself, only for the game to tell me 10 seconds into fighting the fish that my gear was not good enough... okay well now I know if I leave I'll lose my bait... fine I leave. I set up a better outfit and when I tried to move the leader... it just exploded and vanished.

Is this seriously how this is intended to be? getting gut punched for money at every turn? Because this is some EA level kind of behavior I get it that ya'll need to make money but this is just cruel.

I've learned that at level 46 I literally cannot participate in this event and it's a shame that it won't let people know this before they invest their time and money into even trying. It's such a shame that this game has come this low just because of greed. There is literally no competition for fishing games IMO, I use to play Russian Fishing before jumping into this game.

This is truly a disappointing experience, most games use seasonal events to lure players back but not this game... this game uses it to exploit those silly enough to even try.

Prior to this I had no issues giving this game money, I've bought a few DLC (bass boat dlc) and was going to buy the new sea boat one as well but this experience has truly left me disliking this game a lot.

That is exactly how I feel wasted hard earned BC spent money on another 30 day premium . I have had this game since 2018 I think I remember why I quit playing back then. I am only lvl 38 and maxed on tackle and still can't complete rocky mystery . shameful I don't mind monetary support for a game that I enjoy but, It is no longer that for me. No More MONEY for them.

Your point of view only takes in yourself.

It's a free game but they aren't required to hand you everything to play. Don't do the event if you don't want to spend money or use bait coins. You can try to finish it up next year if you stick around that long.
When people take time to express why they are displeased you may choose to listen. Tyrants do not listen.

1 cursed aracu
3 dried fish heads
1 frog
3 blood dough balls
6 bloody flies
1 poisonous maggot

So I don't know, think whatever you want.
I do not know which platform you are playing on, I am playing on the Steam platform on PC. And here is the result of my tour of the steering wheels today:

Mudwater - 1 cursed aracu minnow
Rocky - 666 credits
Tiber - 3 bloody files
Germany - 1 poisonous maggots
Maku - 1 poisonous maggots + 1 noose
Marron - 1 cursed aracu minnow + 1 rusty chain
Amazon - 1 noose + 1 old bone
Congo - 1 baitcoin
Japan - 13 candy

I think that such a "large" number of baits in the steering wheels necessary for a new event is just a mockery on the part of the developers of the players. If we consider that in the old Halloween event there were 56 pumpkins and tombstones, and in the new one there are only 12 steering wheels, then what else can you call it?

LMAO. Yes, the Devs are Tyrants because they want to make a profit.

Not a problem a game making some profit from a F2P game, ofcourse they need to. But there are levels of what I personally consider... not greedy. I guarantee you more people would play / purchase event stuff if it was a bit cheaper than what it is. I've played this on and off since 2016-17. Can't say it's changed much.

You shouting down feedback is what I am referring too.

If you go back and read my first post in this thread, you'll see I mentioned people are completing it spending around 200 baitcoins. The reward for the first part of the event is a saltwater rod and reel that sells for 503 baitcoins.

So even without getting any bait from wheels you can over double your baitcoins in this event. I would call it a fair event that is not very well executed because the investment/reward is quite obscured. At face value the event doesn't look very appealing, but when you have the data on what it takes to complete vs what you get it's actually a very good deal.

Sorry that not true I spent over 500bc for little return along the way so the only way to cover your loss is to get the rod and sell it. That defeats the whole purpose of the event.
I gave up on wasting any more bait coin and not going waste money on it also.
