Carp & Tench - float fishing
Hello - still new to this - but can you catch either Tench or Carp with a float? I am unable at the moment, and all the videos seem to talk about bottom feeder rods - which I do not understand. As I am still on a float rod, any help would be appreciated.

You can but it's unreliable. If you want to target them you gotta get the right gear, which means grinding or swiping.

This Thanksgiving event is all about catching carp on float telescopic rods 😉, best place for trophy carp with match rod is in CA SJD

Not knowing what level are you, makes it difficult to recommend, but if you really in to float rod fishing for carp search videos for catching bighead carps silver carps in Germany and they carps can be up to 90-100 lbs or 40-50 kg

Exactly what Harazani said. I used my OmniFloat 450 ($2100) matched with an EspiraSlim 2500 ($3500) fitted with a 0.23mm mono line, oval bobber, and a #1 barbless hook for the Thanksgiving Event at Lesni Vila Fishery and caught everything I needed with ease using the Golden Corn. Plenty of Common and Mirror Carp to be had! Definitely had a 0.5m flouro lead and set to 300cm. Just drop the bobber around the first ridge from the shore using the map. Good luck!
