With 240 hours of play, you might have a couple more things to learn about this game.
Also, no one forces you to play the maps/lakes you are talking about.
I'm certain that many manage to get fishes out of these places.
As for the amount of exps you get for a certain period of fishing?
Well, not all species gives you high numbers & it depends on many things I suppose.
Nothing really personal but stick to the places that gives you fun.
I left and went to Rocky Lake, level 5 map, and earned more in 15 minutes than I did in three hours at Tiber.
But did you know that you can stay in one place multiple days to make up for money spent on travel licenses and bait?
If we get Thanksgiving mission this year, one of them will be at Tiber river and you will need to catch barbells using golden corn and how many you will waste there by catching carp instead...
They are there, just in like 4-5 spots and the rest of the map is empty.
