ABOUT THE MEGA PIRANHA MONSTER MISSION ...

... There are 3 places where we need to catch this guy.
1 - Maku-Maku
2 - Marron River
3 - Brazil

I did Maku-Maku in a flash & even caught 8 in-a-row, which is pretty spectacular.

I went next, to Brazil for 3 days at peak times. Didn't get one.
Was pis.sed, so went to Marron River for a change. Same thing! Couldn't catch f* all.

I read that many months ago, guys were having issues getting this mission done.
Like they felt it was bugged or something.

Did any of you got it done recently or are doing it right now?

This mission required the '' Adamant leader '' which I have on all rods/setups.
I've tried: Blood, Meat cuts, Large minnows, Chicken liver, etc.
Hooks: #3/0 - #4/0 - #5/0 - #6/0

I saw plenty of videos & did precicely what it was shown.
Exact times, exact techniques, exact spots, same gears, etc...

I will try again later today.

Ok. Gave it a go again in Marron River & NOTHING!!

Tried two places including that best one near the boats & nothing. Kept catching all others.

Discouraged & don't know what to try next. Watched many videos too.
Did 3-4 in-game days. Nights & days. ( morning - evening peak times )



Since morning I've been trying.
You know what it feels like? It feels like even though I'm tracking the mission, it did not '' activate ''. that's what it feels like, because it is almost impossible that after all this time & attempts, I did not catch him already!

OK you can only catch them at 7 pm to 8 pm not all day this is a time related mission at those spots mention.

Thought I've seen videos showing any time of day!!

I did catch the Amazonian Maze one at about 50' from the dock.
The videos showed way out there!
Anyway, happy this one is done.

So now I'm still there trying to catch the 176lb catfish. Trying the Paraiba at night but only have two colors of Crayfish jig. ( Blue + Pumkin )

Go to the main shark spot (everyone fish there for sharks there) and fish around that area top end of big lake.

Yep! That's where I am trying for him. Mainly starting at 9pm. Barely seeing Fishes on the sonar though.

Also tried the deep water nearby. Sonar is useless there just an add on, not like the ocean map.

Well, if I knew that before, it would have been easier for sure.
Don't remember seeing the info about the hours though.

Anyway, all is done now.
- Finally got the trophy Paraiba ( 209 lb )
- Also went back to Marron River & even if not peak time & raining, got the Mega Piranha on my first cast at like 7h05pm.

I'm all done now with all missions everywhere ( Except those in Japan )
