Purchased Shiners/Wax worms

This has occurred a few times tonight being most recent. Purchased Shiners from Store while in Home menu and Game placed items in Home Menu. I open Home and I Selected Shinners which displayed 10 of them. I Select the fishing location and join game and discussion room and proceed to The Last Song of Summer to fish. I select my rod baited with a Shinner I just baited. The top right hand corner that shows Hook Size and Bait Info showed that I had only 1 Shiner in my inventory ? I just bought them unused. This also happened to me after buying Wax worms ?

What is going on with the missing Bait ? I am not going crazy 8/

did u move all of them to ur back pack?

Any item in your home slot has to be moved to your back pack before you travel to any fishing location. The items in you home slot don't travel with you, therefore you don't have access to them at the lake. Items in you back pack does travel with you, you do have access to these items at the lake. You have to be at home to get access to your home storage.
With that being said, the one shinner you put on your hook, is the only one you took with you to The Last Song of Summer, the other 9 is still at home.

Think of it like this, the home menu is your house, the back pack is your car. When you plan a fishing trip, you load your car with all the gear you will be taking with you. When you leave the house and get the to the lake, the gear you have in the car is what you can use, the stuff you left at home you can't use because you didn't bring it with you.

If you buy bait or anything and it goes to your home storage....it means there's not enough space for it in your backpack.
You'll need to transfer something from the backpack to home and then add your new bait from home to the backpack.
You can only carry so many items at one time, until you upgrade your gear with more slots for reels/lines/lures/ baits etc.
