all gear for all ocean pack mission can be lost and no way to secure it properly they did not give an option to do so do not buy this dlc it is a a scam

Trophy gear has always been able to be lost. I lost my Trophy squid chain and 8/0 trophy plug because I gambled with max drag and lost. Of course I was cheesed but it was my own fault.

Gear can be lost because there are no titanium leaders to prevent biteoffs. Send a message to support from in game to complain about this and don't accept their BS

Would the squid chain not be along the lines of Texas or Carolina rigs? You can't get those in titanium either.

Squidchains and rigs occupy the same slot as a leader. none of these give any protection against biteoffs. There are big fish in Japan that will bite you off. The issue is that there are no titanium leaders available that are strong enough for Japan. I am hearing of more and more people that have lost trophy gear because of this error by the developers. I have been in "discussions"? with "customer support"? for 2 weeks now trying to get a resolution to this problem. The more people that send in bug reports about it, and keep sending bug reports after they brush you off will help to convince them that there is an error that needs to be fixed.

But it's not a bug. If you use the squid chain you can't equip a titanium leader. Texas and Carolina rigs have always been that way so why would squid chains be different? Yes, I agree there should be titanium leader that could be used with other lures like Pilkers and such.

We checked the game logs and saw that the friction position on your reel was set to 11 at the time this issue happened. When you use this maximum friction position setting and place a rod in a rod holder, you have no control over the tackle, and the fish can bite off the line.
To secure the tackles, you should use the titanium leader, which is stronger and more durable than the line.

198 lb reel on the 194 lb rod using 198 lb braid setting 11 on reel that has 12 settings was told drag was at max

yes its sold as a lure with no line ratting and no way to secure it to the line properly
