Profile avatar in FP uses avatar from STEAM profile. Why wouldn’t developers make it possible to add a feature to create avatar in FP (only for the purposes of this game) which will not be tied to the profile avatar in STEAM?

I mean.... There really isn't any character customization and people are wearing flannel shirts out on the ocean.

6 or so years in FP and the same ol haircut and shirt.

Agree with you. Had my devilish imp for years but it is not a steam avatar and it is used all games, character names change per game I play. (PS ain't going to change avatar pic. either)
Here in FP I am Mangrove_Jack, but clothing and other personal selections in the game are vague to say the least.

Look... the point being on my original reply to your post is that any sort of customization has for the most part been completely absent from the game. And even though our "icons" are not character customization the icon is still sort of customization. So all in all don't hold your breath. Your original post imo is a very welcome addition to the game. It's just that they do seem to care about any individuality in FP.
