But the thing is that it was even the developers who started by posting these kinds of 'directions' videos, otherwise without them, players would go around in circles and quickly abandon the game.
Personally, I always try to find it on my own, but when I'm stuck, I do like everyone else, I'll "cheat" by going to YouTube.
In a game without cheats, the fish would never be in the same place which would be good, but the majority of players would not have the patience to stay.
While I agree with you about the majority of players having no patience, and learning almost nothing about the game, copying youtube videos is not cheating however as far as I am concerned it is not fishing.
I have had some of my best results, and biggest fish, on days or att times the "youtube experts" tell you to ignore. I find most of my spots by trolling with the Trolling motor on my Bass boat or at least I used to before it became a rock after the Ocean map was added.
In 6k hours of fishing I never used to skip time unless my net was full but they have nerfed the Congo so much that now I have to in order to catch Nile Perch that are not young ones. I used to have 1600lb of Perch in a few game hours nut now it can take all day.
