First couple of days in the Congo I caught a Goliath Tiger over 114 lbs, largest I caught since then and recently is just over 110 lbs. Their size/weight is lower but xps are still roughly the same.

I fish Nile Perch ar the Congo and Unis used to be between 412lb and 451lb but now you rarely see one over 400lb. I caught my last 451lb in July 2022. Most of the Perch now are young and take longer to land than a 451lb used to. I used to get a Trophy followed by a Uni at 5:30am on sunny days but now it can be as late as 8:30am. On top of that you now miss more fish than you hook. The Congo is heavily nerfed!

Ah i see the issue now. I dont mess with perch ever imo its a waste of time because i can catch Goli tigers a lot quicker. Maybe they did something to the fish that everyone goes to lol? looks like i missed a bullet then because the tigers have zero diff and i dont catch perch so no issue for me. Nice 1

I came back to the Congo shortly after Japan opened just to see if all those that are saying that the Congo is now nerfed is true or not. I halfheartedly tried my usual go to nile spot and setup and couldn't catch anything but young nile (5 young, 0 trophy, 0 uni). I'm seeing videos made after the Japan release of players catching many uni niles, but none for me. I'm still at the Congo catching goliaths and tigers left and right, but may try for uni niles again tonight. I'm sure it's not really nerfed as some are saying and that I probaly didn't fish it long enough to form a more accurate assessment.

What i found odd was the spots are different for ps4. It actually helped me find some on pc.

Just came back to the Congo just to see how long it takes to get from level 82 to 83 and Goliath and Africans are thick as ever. From 5am to 6am over 400 pounds and $125K cash. Will go for the Perch after sundown.

Trust me it is nerfed. LOL
I have 6k hours and Perch has been my full time target fish since unlocking the Congo map. Like I said the average soze of Unis used to be between 412lb and 451lb but now they are nearly all around 390lb. As I said since July 2022 I have rarely caught a uni over 400lb.
I used to catch a few young but now your net is full of them. I used to get a perch nearly every cast but now I can make several casts without getting a bite and I miss more fish than I hook. On sunny days I used to fish an 8/0 hook until I got a trophy then switch to a 14/0 to get a uni at 5:30am. Now it can bite as late as midday and 2 days ago I caught 1800lb of fish and got 2 trophies but no uni. This is the first time I have filled my net without getting one. Others catch Unis but they follow youtube videos and skip time etc but I have always started at 5am and fished until my net was full. This used to take 3 to 4 game hours but now it can take all day,
