I bought the Africa pack to level up. I'm level 73 and would like to go a little higher for the update. The first day in the game went well.. but then no matter the day or night, the weather, etc. fast forward it doesn't help. Bite rate completely dead. no more fish there.. then I restart the game again 1 ingame day later dead again????????? wtf

Does anyone have a tip or know why this is the case? I feel like a fool after buying it

It's clear that the fish don't come like they come on an assembly line. But some frequency for leveling would be good. Maybe someone else with experience in these waters will get in touch

and can you actually only catch a unique once a day? or more often with luck

I only fish at night in the Congo. Uni Nile Perch. 6 inch night shad 14/0 hook 3 way rig 1 and 1/2 or 1 and 3/4 weight Reel speed 3 and keep it close to the bottom.
Fish at peak times. Catch one uni and move to the next night. Obviously, if it's not a uni, keep fishing. It's only 2000 to extend.

You can catch 3 or 4 uni goliaths during 1 day if you know the spots. Have a look on the tube. gl

Normally you can catch 1 unique and 1-2 trophies each ingame day at the same spot. Then you should change spot and should be able to repeat this. If you have a good day peak and a good night peak you will be able to catch the unique at day and at night too. I remember an attempt once where I caught 8(!) uniques at 4 different places at one ingame day. 4 during day time peaks and 4 during night time peaks. (+ 1 additional unique catfish as accidental bycatch

Addendum: If unique nile perch does not work try fishing for tigerfish or goliaths. They bring also enormous amounts of XP! you can do groundfishing for that as well as spin fishing. One method should work anyway. And if nothing works at all - try ground fishing for catfish. Should at least give you enough XP to climb up to level 75 which gives you access to congo at any time.

I've been looking for the unique tiger tetra for the mission since yesterday. I tried 6 spots. only gives normal or trophy ones
