Ocean XP, How does everyone feel?

I have not played since denuvo has been added, however, from some clips and other things I've read,

I'm under the impression that the ocean fish are not worth the XP when compared to the fight?

I have no experience/input of myself in regards to this.

So i'd love to hear from you all your experience. Thanks!

On console: 317 Hrs of gameplay, bought marorn dlc, then congo dlc, only made it to lvl 73. Granted, i did get distracted from farming tiger fish during the st patty's event. I guess 1700 bait coins is better than the last 2 levels. Still 317 hours of gameplay, two dlc's later still not enough. Not to mention the club series pack, the golden pack, the fourth of july pack and probably one more dlc i bought for console only. Not to mention PC DLC.
Oh yeah, half of the sport packs!
I have faith you can correct the issues the community has suggested. However, until the denuvo is removed I won't play on PC.
What is the plan for console? Will you add an anti-cheat system there?

so you have 60days lisence, there is no way to reach lvl 83 , its gonna be ok till 60+ after that you need about (800k- 1.1m xp 80lvl+) per level good luck!!! Tryhard to reach 75lvl at least!!!

You can definitely make bank with the $60 DLC. I have yet to actually fill the on boat storage all the way before going to the next day or having to leave to repair the rods and reels but I get anywhere from 300-500k before moving on to the next day. That wouldn't be the case with the $40 DLC since you couldn't keep half of the fish you catch. That being said, what good is the in game cash good for besides rods and reels when you get to the higher levels? It's not like you can buy the equivalent boat in the shop for credits and sell the DLC one for Baitcoins.

Edit, I've only fished a few evenings since the release but am over 3/4 of the way through level 80. I'm sure I will get to 83 before the 60 days is up even if I don't decide to fish every day. I Enjoy the new map enough that I don't really care about hitting max level anytime soon as long as I can have access to the map I'll be happy just playing whenever and getting the heavier gear when I get to those levels. The gear in the higher tier DLC is actually pretty decent at getting the bigger fish in, some Unis take a long time but it's deep sea fishing, it's not Lone Star lake...

oh ya, for sure. Wait to you get to upper 50s it will slow down. The unis still give great xp but then again it can take a long time to reel em in. so it will slow for you 100%

THe money tho... the money is great.

Tell us how long it takes you to get from level 1 to level 90 fishing only Lonestar and not buying DLC. Keep a daily log, I will follow it..

To go from level 83 to 84 you need 1,009,182 xp points.
Two days fishing, 1 day 3/4 boat load of fish 207K approx, the next day a full load roughly the same.
It all depends on UNIs' caught that makes the difference.

13.204.645 / 60 = 220,078 XP per IRL 24 Hours to reach level 83 FROM LEVEL 1!!! within those 60 days

if you average 2.5 hours a day with 100k xp per hour you make it with ease

Max weight on the smaller dlc is 390lb so large marlin would have to be returned to the water, but you will still get the xp for them, which is probably more important as cash is not a problem once you get to a higher level.

I'm level 85 and have over 26 million!!

Max weight on solo fish is 552lbs on the $40 DLC.

I am reelin em in left n right, I have completed the large chain quest. I have spent maybe 4 hours a day since release which is REALLY pushing it for me I am now level 62 from 52. I think at most and if that is if i really push the envelope here i may be able to get to mid 70s I am hoping. The xp is just not consistent as some have suggested here. There are too many variables. Some are acting like it doesnt take 20mins to reel these things in or you are going to always snag a UNI or Trophy.

It is not that the XP isnt good and the money is def good its the xp vs time its not as efficient as other areas. I am actually starting to wonder if i will have any line left before i get to mid 70s and I cannot replace my line at this level.
