Ocean XP, How does everyone feel?

I have not played since denuvo has been added, however, from some clips and other things I've read,

I'm under the impression that the ocean fish are not worth the XP when compared to the fight?

I have no experience/input of myself in regards to this.

So i'd love to hear from you all your experience. Thanks!

Today is the first time I've been able to really play since buying the $60 DLC. I've got almost halfway through level 80 and each fishing day is getting me $250,000+ in-game cash. I don't regret getting the more expensive DLC. I will definitely hit level 83 before the 60 days is up. That being said, the lower DLC just doesn't seem worth it to me. You wouldn't be able to keep the larger fish for in-game cash and the weaker gear would make for long fights with the larger fish. My longest fight so far was with a 511 pound Bluefin Tuna that took me about 15 minutes real time. It would have been much longer with the $40 DLC.

I dunno, I feel its fine? But i do think they need to reduce the total amount of xp required to go from 0-83 the pacing is is bad

I was level 9 this morning, now level 26 in a few hours. Quite happy with it. Bought the DLC because pretty boat and ocean waves. Except I’m on MacBook and there’s no ocean, waves, nor water. Just sand and a flying majestic boat 🤣. 9/10 would fish again.

Edit: Fix for missing waves on Mac is to set ocean graphics to Medium.

Is not worth it man the game is very lagy and xp is so low, you are better farming congo in my opinion if you want xp

XPs should more for the larger size fish had 2 full boat hauls(4.4k lbs) but just over 200k in XPs per day. Can make 260k of XPs per day catching tigers. If you think grinding up levels is bad enough wait till grind away on large Marlin and Tuna. A big over the top when fish near boat when it should have lost most of its energy.
Oh! by the way take a surfboard with you the wake of the fish are real rip curls.

Fishing for African and Goliath Tiger fish is far more productive for both xp and money.
A 25lb tiger fish gives around 2000xp......watching a Bo Angles trawling stream last night and a young bluefin tuna of just over 100lbs, gave less than 900xp.

He also caught some bigger fish, marlin etc, that were taking ages to get into the boat and the xp just wasn't worth it, in comparison with tigerfish.

The sea map is FANTASTIC and I'm not moaning about the actual map and the fishing is great, but the xp needs a serious tweak.
Money ain't as important because you soon have millions in the bank anyway....

Xp is important on this map, because you need to get to level 84 and 85 to unlock better gear that doesn't require gold coins to buy......level 83 is all gold coin gear, so that's a bit of an obstacle that you need to pass, imho.

Some people are saying that it should just be enjoyed and players should not worry about the grind, which is a fair point BUT this water should be giving more xp than a lower level map and it clearly doesn't.

I'm back at the Congo and I'll stay there until I'm level 84 and can get one of the Salt water spinning set ups.

Just my opinion.

I wonder if these players have got rid of their mobile phones and have stopped using social media??
