i got a uni goliath tiger in congo, around 45ish kg it gave like 25k ish xp with premium. my striped marlin at 80kg gave like 7k xp, thats not right imo
But no, we don't. The way to the top is very grindy now, so will think about removing some grind. But rebalancing is a huge work. Will see how we can speed it up.
In the early game credits are a real issue, it's too easy to go broke just buying a little bait, a few lures and the license/travel to the next lake. Once you make it to amazon and congo credits are virtually meaningless. This trend had to be culled for the health of the game in my opinion. You go from buying just enough bait that you hope will get you through your fishing trip to a lake to buying 1k+ just because you can and nothing else to spend the credits on.
I played steam from before Blue Crab came out. Leveled another account on xbox after capping steam and another account recently with the Epic client so I have recent experience from both ends of the spectrum. I know this won't be a popular opinion but based on my experience it's a good thing to slow it down a little bit. Congo was just too easy.
In the Congo map i have the maxed out equipment that you can buy for that map. And still i need to fight over 15 min for a fish. Before the patch this was happening a few times. Now, it's more like every fish, and my rods tear out like crazy.
For me not that big a problem, i have so much cash that i don't feel the wear and tear.
But it sucks that a fish is under your boat (3m), and you can't reel him in. Suddenly he starts to swim to the other side again. So you can start from 0 to reel him in.
Really great to see you up for the chit chat Killerwhale. People need to know your 1st hand stuff. Cheers.
Goten like 47k exp from a uni tuna Idk why your comparing a uni tiger to a normal marlin
I agree if you make more rare to catch very big unique fish, this is a good point for realism but if you do this, you need to reconsider a lot the XP gain for those catches. If now an unique nile perch give us about 40-45k XP, if I catch one after 5/6 real hours playing, the xp should be something like 500.000k. I think it should be fair enough.
So please, if you work aiming for realism, reconsider also the xp gain for all fish you make really difficult to catch!
That would be good. I'm almost level 81 and when I get there it's another 800K in xp to level 82, the xp grind is a bit over the top imo.
I think it would be better that once you get to a certain level, let's say perhaps 60, it's a fixed amount of xp(let's say 200k xp) per level for every level after til level 70, where it increases to perhaps 250k every level til 80. It would reduce the grind somewhat but I'm sure some will disagree.
