xbox controller not supported

when i click on "use controller" icon it doesnt seem to stay on or let me use my controller anyone know a fix?

The Xbox controller is most definitely supported .... I use the MSI GC30 controller and it works perfectly ... You probably set it for controller and started using the keyboard i the settings which will act like your controller is not working.

hello, sometimes you need to check if the controller is active/detected in the steam interface:

steam - settings - controller - general controler settings

Hey Lowhood. Make sure that the controller is plugged into the computer before starting up the game with a USB cable (important). I have found that sometimes it will not detect it if I plug it in after the game has loaded. In the settings menu try changing the controller settings on and off. Try if with the off setting, if that doesn't work then try it with the on setting. I can use both controller and mouse (mouse for precise casting) during the game.

Download Xbox Accessories app from Windows store......it is an app specifically for the Xbox controller. There you can customize button function as well as many other things. I had the same problem some months back. When I plugged the controller in it was detected as a generic device. After installing the accessories app the controller functioned normally. Hope this helps.
