Trophy Oscar

Alright, I am completely at the end of my witts, the only fish I'm still missing for my panfish trophies mission is a trophy oscar.
I have tried for 3 days now to just catch it, but nothing seems to be working.
I've tried every preferred bait, every other bait I could think of (flies, crawfish, other insects and things mentioned in it's description)
I've tried basically every spot on the everglades I could think of or find in videos, posts, or other media.
I've tried leader lengths from 10cm to 2m.

How, just HOW can I get this freaking fish?
I can barely even get a bite with marshmallows on the line, even though about 500 different fish have it as their preferred bait, it feels like.
How is it that catching a nearly 20kg snook or tarpon is easier than just getting a freaking 501g+ panfish?

Please, just, someone throw out *some* suggestion and if it works I will literally fly out to where you live and give you hot and steamy sexy time.

there some locations that are just not good for trophies of specific species. for me it's the smallmouth buffalo in everglades. it's the only place you can even catch a trophy but I must have caught 100000000 there and none trophy lol

Try either the Lily Pad Channel or Floating Thickets spawn points, use a hook from #8 - #4, set the depth to around 50cm. Cast your bait (bloodworms) close to the weedbeds/clumps of reeds that are close to the dock. Fish during the day time peak times.

Solid advice. I got mine on a #4 with bloodworms at Quanchkin at The Upside Down spawn. all the way to the right in the Lilly pads.
