Game makes computer run HOT!
The game needs to be optimized. This game puts a heavy load on the computer. After playing for a few hours start seeing blue flickering on hands and bobber. Think it's cooking my gpu!

It may not be the games fault.

Open your task manager.
Then run fishing planet.
See what the stats are.

Your GPU overheating can be caused by a lot of things. Depending on if its a desktop or laptop.

no issues here could be ur case not getting enouph airflow to cool ur gpu, game barley takes much to run
CPU ang GPU heating is a by-product of graphics intensive games. I experienced this with MS Flight Simulator. What I did is up-graded my computer cooling system with:

1: Liquid cooling for the CPU
2: Up-dated video card w/cooling for the GPU
3: Hi volume case fan

This setup keeps my system running at 40 to 45 degrees centigrade and able to to run all my installed games with no heating problems

Has nothing to do with being optimized, you just need better cooling

Yeah it's the games fault not yours. Set up your PC properly.

No problem with my pc overheating, the latest Nvidia drivers hit the fps hard and I suppose if you continued to play without adequate cooling, the pc might overheat but thats not a fault with the game, just revert the drivers if heat is a problem.

Assuming proper maintenance and positioning, PC components are designed to run at full load for protracted periods of time. I have a pc that runs the CPU and GPU @ a continuous 100% load grinding BOINC projects 24-7, and every 6 months I shut BOINC down and clean the fans, case filter etc and it continues to operate just fine, no game is going to put that sort of stress on a system and heat is never an issue.

@Max GTX 750 Ti ?

Just wondering. Mine does that sometimes too. It's not running hot or anything but the blue flicker yeh.

My laptop gets hot but I have seen no evidence that it gets "too" hot. It sits on a cooling pad and I take regular breaks during which I quit the game and log out of steam. No problems so far.

I suspect OP is right to an extent, it cooks my GPU if I turn off vsync. Granted I have settings turned up to max but I do in every game. It's nothing my PC can't deal with but it's a lot of heat and I start getting alerts from my kraken app.

I suspect it's because it's allowed to keep bashing out frames with no limitation but I could be wrong.

OP: Try vsync if you're not already, see if it helps.

I did it helps. My gpu stays around 60c But my fans have to be at 70% to keep it that cool. Im just saying its fishing not battlefield 4 where there are tanks, helichopters, etc, etc 64 people running around blowing stuff up! Just saying dont see why this puts all the stress on the gpu/cpu thats all.

We will optimize the game, but you can always set graphics to low, switch off SSAO and dyn water. But as far as we need to calculate nice water reflection, GPU need to do double work. So nice and realistic water is not always cheap :(

Got ya. btw you guys rock. Great work on the game. Thank you for listening to the community. Most DEV'S dont care about there community. But this game just gets better and better. sorry about the last patch blunder, but you guys/girls got on it fast. Not sure how big your team is but great work to all.

your opinon, but not everyone agrees with you.

They finally made fighting a fish fun and not a RMB spam.
Now gear really matters and changes the fight.

If you pay attention to details and read the stats of the gear, it becomes fun.

Tell me the following things and i will tell you a good set up.

Target fish: what fish and weight are you going after.
Your level: what level are you
Gold/ Silver balance: so i can base the gear on your current money.

You can always just search my name in game. I find the set ups i have, to be the "best" to fish any fish. Of course i change my Reels some times if i am targeting smaller fish.
