Unique Nile Perch - lures only? match and bottom don't work?

Using Lures - I can repeat this process:

Enter the map -> Go to the buoy at the waterfall -> Skip to a night time peak ->
catch unique on first cast -> catch trophy on second cast -> skip to the next night ->
catch unique on first cast -> catch trophy on second cast -> skip to the next night ->
catch unique on first cast -> catch trophy on second cast -> skip to the next night...
... and continue to repeat this consistently.

I can not repeat this with match rods or bottom rods, trying different combinations and hooks and baits, nothing seems to be, I can only catch young and common, sometimes a trophy but rare and not consistent.

Is there a way to consistently catch Uniques with match rods or bottoms rods - with the same consistency that I can with lures - as described aboved?

I've had a couple of uni's recently on large minnow on 10/0 fished on the bottom from boat near the cascade.

There is a spot at the other end of the river next to the chains across where you can try match setup, I even seen my friend trying to use Troy rod on them😉

Which is a cheat using a bug
as well as catching sharks at Amazonas with the Troy rod that should not work any longer!

I don't know if he got it or not using Troy rod, but that perch was pulling his boat allover the map and I left so I didn't see the end of it most likely he Alt F4 because of the spooling...

Unless you are levelling up its a waste of time doing night peaks, You can shift location during the day and catch unis etc.
I do 3 days straight and fill my net with tigers only each day (net size 1543 lbs).
