i just unlocked this lake, bought some new carp gear, took a bottom rod for catfish, tried, boilies, worms, corn, different spod mixes and ground baits, not a bite in 4 in game days

On sunny days i have my 400kg net in 4 ingame hours full.
other days 6 ingame hours. 2/10 days i catch mabye 200kgs in 4 ingame hours but the most days my net is full
Most days at Weeping Willow I can fill my 880 pound keepnet and make an average of $75,000( With Premium) just fishing the peak times. I average about 6 Unis in a day. I gave up wasting time on Wels Catfish there. I only use the Deep Horizons and Leviathan 10000s with .8" Pop up Boilies on #8/0 carp hooks. Make sure to use the camo sinkers and carp leaders. I tried Spodding and chumming but I didn't really see any benefit.

in Letsplay and streams look for videos made by Kpshamino for set ups and fishing spots for Weeping Willow

I've used a Carp Ranger 12' 9" and Griffon Spod 10000 reel along with a heavy bottom rod and heavy float rod (at the time I didn't have the cash for a multiple decent carp rod setup). With that and, as others have mentioned, camo sinker and .8" pop-up boilies I've had hugely successful fishing days at Weeping Willows, lots of uni's and easy keepnet fills etc.

Watch where others are catching or check YT vids to find the fish and you should be good.

G.F. Later, thanks for the tip. I had no clue myself so thought I would try carp fishing for the first time. 6 Uni and multi trophies...going to try more than two setups next time.

The UK is currently in the top 3 best fisheries in the game. Once you know what kind of baits to use depending on the weather and where to fish..you can fill a 660lb keepnet really fast. I'd suggest looking up KPShimano's videos on the rotations he uses..they work pretty well.

Since the quad rod holder has been rendered useless due to the fish escaping because of slack line, the bottom fishing has really taken a back seat to just about everything else to me. I am not going to invest any more time, effort or money into a product that uses bait and switch techniques to generate revenue.

It started off with gold coins - they were once earned by catching uniques but one day the devs decided to take them all away from us and substitute in game currency as a trade off. Then gold coins were "introduced" as a currency to buy things we could have bought prior to the change out. So that grinding for gold netted us nothing in return but credits we weren't interested in.

Then came the removal of the 660lb keepnets we had purchased. They just disappeared from our inventory but were "introduced" again at a cost. More wasted effort, time and money for something the devs can just take from you at a whim to generate revenue by selling it back to you again.

Then came the introduction of topwater fishing and all the lures associated with it. They were since nerfed into oblivion. Useless now. If you bought them all with your own money, gold, whatever.. you have nothing but I expect to see them reintroduced at a cost with buffed results on only those lures.

They did the same with bottom fishing. 4 rod holder means you buy 4 expensive rods, 4 expensive reels, all the tackle and baits required to run them. Then they create a nerf so you can really only effectively use 1 or 2 because you'll lose fish on the others and for some reason they all bite at almost exactly the same time. Basically you have 1 fish spawn event and 4 rods out. In the past you'd catch 2 unis at once, and it was very common to catch almost identical weight fish on simultaneous bites, so you can see how fast one could progress on the XP and credit chart. It wasn't nerfed as far as bite (not completely) but as far as you being able to do anything about it. now your bottom fishing is borderline worthless.

Next came overall spawn rates. I use the boat sonar to know when the bite should be on (the bite chart works too but seems to be too meta to make any sense). It's common now to be in full peak of the spawn time and see nothing on the graph over the entire body of water. Nothing on the graph means no fish are spawning.

Yes it's still easy on a couple lakes to fill the bag but variety is the entertaining factor. I used to do well in Russia but not now. Now it's a lot of mid size catfish and a few Asp/pike with the occasional beluga. It's common now to have long dry spells.

I get it that the devs need revenue but this seems shady to say the least. It's turned me off to the game.

Best way to combat the slack line issue with rods is don't try to juggle fish. I've noticed that with the Carp..it's best to just not set the hook. Focus on 1 fish..they will stay on the line WAY longer if you don't pick up the rod, set the hook and then set it back down.
