Bass jigs,Buzz baits & Spinner bait set ups.

Curious what soft lures others have had the best success with attaching to bass jigs, spinner baits & buzz baits?

Worms seemed to work best on all 3 for me, followed by slugs and not much else. At Everglades yesterday someone reeled in a small handful uni bass in just a few minutes. They mentioned they use a shad on a bass jig. I tried shads on bass jigs a couple years back and didn't get any bites in the usual spots during peak, so I wrote it off & haven't tried since.

They also mentioned their color combo was blue b-jig with swamp green shad, something I never would've tried. I experimented with several different color combos a couple years ago & it always seemed to work better matching the soft lure to a color on the b-jig (purple worm on blue b-jig in Michigan was the only exception I found), so I've mostly stuck with that theory since. Curious what others experience is with color combos?

I have used twin-tail spider grubs (red or purple) on bass jigs with good results.

Many thanks! Didn't have much success with twin tails on a jig head for any species when they first rolled out a couple years back & haven't tried them much since. I'll give them a try on a bass jig.

I usually end up putting shads on spinnerbaits and sometimes buzzbaits, nymphs and larva mainly on buzzbaits. Jigs seem to work well with damn near anything on em when hook size is matched to lure size.

Was just pulling in more trophy LM than common with a black shad on the blue/black b-jig, even being off peak a bit. Seems I should totally reconsider what else might work. Guessing a few day b-jig trial at Everglades is in my near future.
