New patch 4.5.4 What have you done?

Made it worse again??? Could not hardly catch a fish fishing for Nile perch at Congo with casting rod and carolina rig in playing for nearly 1 hour despite peak times. Perhaps 8-10 in total and except 2 Uniques no one bigger than 45 kg... I also could not see any fish jumping since todays update and there are hardly fish to see at the echo despite peak time. Finally fishing with walker on spinning rod for tigerfish and goliath worked slightly better, but when using the walker I could not get more than 1 point for lure guidance except I raise the rod sharply up as much as possible.

Certainly nothing to do with the decrease of jumping fish.
Posted patch note. Will do a final fine tunning next week.

I have been fishing for Nile perch with carolina rig all afternoon and have had no problems at all.

I don’t understand spinning fishing at all. Previously, there was the smoothness of the bait and the flexibility of the rod. Nowadays spinning is just a club!!! There is no feeling of a bite on the rod. Everything happens by itself.

@KILLERWHALE: Tested it again with nearly same result: As soon as a try to fish with casting rod and rig TWITCHING for Nile Perch at the waterfall at Congo - the most-known place to catch them - I almost cannot catch a single fish! Besides that I don´t see any fish jumping and don´t see any fish on the boat sonar! DOES THAT MEAN THE PLACE IS DRY FOR ME THEN??? A friend of mine who fished together with me in my room at the same spot told me that she could see the fish there jumping around all the time - and whereas I caught 5 fish in 1 hour real time fishing she caught 5 in 5 minutes! Furthermore she told me that she could not see me doing anything but sitting in my boat - despite I stood in there fishing!

SO WHATEVER YOU DID WITH YOUR LAST PATCH - PLEASE FIX IT!

I spent almost 9.000 hours ingame in the last 3 years and I am premium member but I swear I am about to stop playing this game in short if things don´t improve!!!

Just found another problem.

The unique speckled peacock in blue crab and amazonian don't bite on mouse lure 7/0 anymore ( or maybe one out of 500 casts they do) but the smallies and trophies do, and that can't be.

Before the update this lure was a great way to avoid all the smallies and only focus on trophies and uniques.

I don't know if this is related to the knew mechanics or if the devs changed that on purpose
but it's another thing that sucks

Was your friend using a spinning or casting setup? Have you tried a spinning setup to see if there is a difference? Have you verified the game files in STEAM? You admit that the game is fine for someone else but expect them to fix an issue that only you seem to be having.

Was your friend using a spinning or casting setup? Have you tried a spinning setup to see if there is a difference? Have you verified the game files in STEAM? You admit that the game is fine for someone else but expect them to fix an issue that only you seem to be having.

I think the thing is not wether twitching or spinning works but that I obviously can´t see things others see or that I am seen doing nothing despite I am active! And if I understood right the jumping fish were added by this unholy new update to indicate active spots - so I assume if I can´t see the fish jumping that others see this means the spots are dry for me???
And this occurs since last patch yesterday! I can´t imagine I am the only one to whom this happens - but if so what to do? Shall I stop playing because for all others things work well (which they don´t as you know!)? I am thinking and hoping the devs could do something cause its obviously their patch which causes all this!

I have only seen a few tiger fish jump since the update and things are working well for me, so I don't think it is obviously their patch. Contacting support directly might be better than posting in the forums.

before on selenge and now at Akhtuba, bait ratio it's very very low... no more unique asp in akhtuba 3rd day in a row.

I've been fishing for Nile Perch all evening and am not having any issues(Nile Chaser spinning setup). I am have more strikes that don't hook up than I used to but that's probably because I switched from a 10/0 offset hook to a 14/0 trying to catch those leader board size fish. finally got my 440+ Perch :)

I just fish in akhtuba catching unique asp inder the bridge spot.. so far i dont see any difference

LOL, just had a Uni Perch hit a rock island and launch over 100' into the air. It was amazing. Still landed him though.

I kinda think it takes some time to get used to the new changes. But, maybe it will work out eventually.

The new update does not change bites or affect bite rations by any means. If you change thickness of your line due to max drag or other things this could affect the bite ratio. Will check your logs if I will have time and write the results here
