New update what a mess... BUGGY

Game was great yesterday and now today oh boy what a mess...

Never seen 170 kg fish jump 30 meters in the sky when hooking them,
Netting takes way to long and even have to look to the clouds to get the fish in.
On ultra wide screens my arms block half the view when reeling and twiching can even see inside my shoulder.
4 out of 5 fish dont hook when twitching..
And also would have bin nice to get the patch notes when we were waiting on the update.
Now i had to lose gear as i didnt know max dragging your real now breaks all your gear.

Bells on fishing rods are broken now. One ring/bing and then "strike out" message... and so on..

Maybe its time to update your testing team to all new people. Patch is a big big mess and should be rolled back ASAP.

In short words: This update is just a huge bull sh...! If this made the game more realistic I am the emperor of China! It is NOT REALISTIC that I have to wait to net fish til program decides that I may do! Its not fun to have fish 3 metres from boat which does not take a single metre of the line but nevertheless cannot be landed for minutes! And what about the missing bite alarms when fishing with ground rods??? That has nothing to do with realism but with the INCOMPETENCE of programmers and/or developpers!

Totally agree! I was looking forward to this update and now I miss the older version of the game.

if you ppl dont like the game.. just code your own game! and if it works better than this one, probably a lot of players will follow you... and make you rich? ...

or...

you guys/gals can always try to give a constructive feedack to dev's team, so they can make the game better..

tbh, I thought that most of the community of this game would be over 30 yo, "mature ppl".. but looks like we have some crystal (or something like that) generation childs arround that can't handle this kind (or any kind) of changes..

i tested the game for an hour or so and can't say if the new method is good or bad.. its just different, and im kinda enjoying it..

I have put in a bug report for rodstands. tested a few things and found out this was the issue. I am not aware if it is all stands but mechanics work if rod is in hand.

Update: bug is being worked on per Fishing Planet Support team

Never mind I just went to Congo for a few minutes. I'm not hating the new fight mechanic and as expected it takes longer to reel in fish without using line that is too strong for the reel. Even though I knew you couldn't do that anymore I forgot and almost broke my rod. The landing net while in an unanchored boat is awkward, I mean VERY awkward. I caught 3 regular nile perch and getting them into the net was very tricky. I don't do comps so I will probably keep the landing net off while boat fishing. It's still unrealistic to be able to one arm a 400 pound fish with a landing net anyway. LOL

The fighting needs balancing

Bringing in a 2lb fish SHOULD NOT feel like you are battling a 10 pounder...

especially with braided lines and decent reels.

On the plus side, this means ill get my lazy butt out and actually fish more since I can no longer get a decent fishing experience from the comfort of my chair

I was starting to really enjoy this game too until today, It really feels like this update wasn't even tested

Hi, you need to aim at the fish and use the space bar for the net, so it's not automatic. Hard to do with a moving target. It can be disabled in settings though.

Constructive feedback HAS been given: Bring back the game how it was 2 days ago and the game will be back at fully playable and enjoyable.

It was tested by over 50 to 100 testers, and stuff was reported, and they didn't listen.
