How to find the connection to the IP address of the game?
So, my PC loses connection to the sever frequently. I have no problem with other online games, just FP. I contacted FP support about it and they told me this.

"So, you need to check the connection to the particular IP address that you can find in the game and find out whether there are any errors."

Can anyone help me understand what they are asking me to do? I have not clue what they are talking about.

Have FP running then open task manager go to performance select open resource monitor in resource monitor select network scroll down to TCP connections and find Fishing Planet look for Remote Address. There are at least 6 different IP addresses FP using. Then you can try to ping IP addresses found with ping command you can also backtrack it with tracert command.

thats worth knowing,
I also keep losing connection to the server, it started today! I do not know what to do?
Or just hit f9 while in game.....
F9 gives server address something like fidhingplanet dot com with port number, which you can ping and backtrace no port needed doing so will display actual IP address, pressing F9 also gives you ping and fps, but in resource monitor you can see variety of IP addresses Fishing Planet using to connect.

Thanks. I have given up trying to solve this issue. I dealt with FP customer support and they were as useless as tits on a boar hog. They claimed the problem was Ping and blamed my ISP. They told me to do the F9 thing and see my ping rate. It was 90ms in the game., but when I ran ping test outside the game, it was 18 to 20ms. This demonstrates that the ping problem is with their server, not my connection. I sent them the screenshots to prove this and have never heard back from them. All the want to do is play the game of "Pass the Buck onto the ISP". They have no desire to actually address the problem. Sadly, all they have to do is add a connection buffer to the game. Honestly, there is no practical reason why this game has to be played online at all. It could be a stand alone game. It is not a primarily multiplayer game. The fact that the DEVs DEMAND a constant internet connection for this game, is, quite frankly, a little suspicious.
