14 hours and 15 min ingame fight for 1 fish
ok...im realy mad right now. but i try to be nice.
all my gear started at 100% durability, after 14 hours and 15 min (game time) i lost the fish because the line went 0%.
It looked like the fish went into a loop (im sure it was an uni northen pike) because that was what i was fishing for.
And when are the fish getting tired? wasnt a mechanic implanted that fish get tired after some time?
14 hours 15min and the fish never got tired.
Sorry to say (and im trying to be nice) if u ad a new mechanic, make sure it works. even in early acces.(or beta)
The fish never got tired, and it went into a loop, he did same thing over and over.
im 100% possitive that this is a bug,
i hope any dev wil read this, because this isnt fishing.
You want to make a realistic fishing game, but you get closer to that fail fish game called: euro fishing. (the fish gets tired there thoug)

sorry if i sounded bad or that my english isnt very wel, but thats because my hand hurts from that fish fight and english isn't my mother language.

Setup? Just need an idea to fully understand the situation. It's just unusual as all i do is fish for uni pike and never experienced anything like this.

recently ive been playing with unis on spinning gear and wit that if the fish is over 17kg i have no chance the 17+ i had on spinn gear took me nearly 1 .5 irl hours thou it did seem to be on a loop but it eventualy came in bigger fish just strip me and break line

out of all 4 uni northern pike i have caught in this new update.. all of them have come in after maybe dragging me 190ft, getting tired and then coming in

i am level 23 and playing from the release of fishing planet, i had the best set up available
it is just a bug, and need to be fixed.
14 hours in game that is 2 hours and 20min in real life time.
and i had caught more unique northen pikes in michigan before, and never had any problem like that.
it is just feedback, hope dev's just read this so they can fix it.
Problem: the fish didnt get tired at al, (after 14 hours and 15 min game time)
that is way to long, (yes i'm a patience man XD)

I know the feeling Smillies.....i have had this with serveral gar's and muskies/Northern pike also. It cost me serveral point and gold and not to forget the XP. And we have to repair the gear also or buy new gear thrue that. I send a report to support@fishingplanet.com about the ........but they did not reacted for 10 days, and i send 3 times this mail. Small team....i know.....but they should take care about that.
firstknight51 Apr 17, 2016 @ 6:41am
well.... a small team shouldnt do things it cant keep up with..or fix what they know needs fixing before release..Or get a dev testing team as well as beta testing team to correct these things or as much as possible before even a thought of release. We all know they are gonna be bugs need fixing but these are so bad and need fixed now

Im sorry i shoulda explained.. a dev testing team test, releases or updates from dev team to the game before its released to the beta testing team

I am lvl 23 as well and I literally lose one pike or muskie, every 15 days or so. With that being said yes there are the few rare ones that are not possible to catch or that have very little room for error if you don't want them to spool you. If you have the best casting gear on then if you are losing more then a fish a day it is user error undoubtedly. Obviously the fish that took you 14 hours in game was a bug and after fighting for a fish for an hour or so you should probably be able to guess that that fish was bugged so just alt F4 out of the game and comeback in, don't just keep fighting it for the sake of having something to complain about...
bull243 Apr 17, 2016 @ 7:42am
devs should repair this quick.......

They are doing great thinhs also, but listen to us users.
And most off all.....give some notice off what they are doing !!!!!

Why are you being so arrogant?
If you simply say the setup, we can help you.
Tarquin_P Apr 17, 2016 @ 10:25am
You know what, nevermind, dont mention the setup since your pride is to valuable to you. i'll just give some advice that may or may not help depending on whether you choose to take it or not.

I noticed this with the new brutus rods while fishing in michigan on patch release day.

The brutus 360 compare to the 300 is much better. Why? becuase the 360 bends more since it is longer. The brutus 300 barely bends or take a long time before it does because it it stiff and shorter. This bend is important because it takes strain away from the reel. With the brutus 300 not bending, the drag has most of the pressure.

Now i know the brutus 300 has 1kg more than the 360 in terms of max line. But do you really need 16kg max line weight when the double punch max drag is 12kg, with it being set on 11/12 drag bars it really is only 11kg of drag.

So with that i found using 13.6kg braid to be best for me as i can fit the strongest possible line that gives me alot of distance, 232m if om not mistaken.

I know it is unblanced but i have not gotten spooled yet. I went to missouri to test this on the gar and kep losing the trophy to low tension when it swam towards me. I think the guy saw the teeth and forgot how to reel.

Setuo:
Brutus 360
Doublepunch with 12kg drag
13.6kg braid.

This setup is my personal preference and has worked for me so far for all the heavy species in game.

Im not saying that the game does not need work done to it, because it does. Im just providing a possible temporary solution to make the game easier and actually giving you a chance and others a chance of landing whatever you want to with float fishing.
