Retrieval methods for Bass

What are some of your best retrieval tactics (and lures) to use catching Bass in missouri? I seem to be having a hard time with this and my bites are very few and far between..I can never seem to get a clear answer...
yet when it comes to catfishing theres an exact spot with an exact depth and exact bait and you get a fish almost every time...

with bass..it's more complicated

Nano spoon, all varities, casting spoons in gold, silver, red and white, using stop and go work ok for me.

Bass will hit a wide range of stuff, almost any spoon, jigged lures, and of course bass jigs.

At Mud River you want to be working the grass/reed clusters along the banks. A semi-fast stop n go that bounces off the bottom is the best, but a mid water fast stop n go (making sure during the stop the lure falls a good ways to bottom) works well to, esp if the weather is right.

Spoons worked great for me using them just as stated here

Fast twitching works well too in the VERY early hours of the morning 5-6 and then again when the suns going down 6-7 ish.

Simple Stop and Go, with 1/2 Oz. #2/0 "Five of Diamonds" available at Level 5.

IMHO one of the "best early level" bass spoons / lures in the game, guaranteed Spotted Bass in Texas

Get some ultralight gear. Fish small jigheads with craws. You'll catch every fish in the lake.
