The main advantages with walls are they can be reeled in much easier with lower weight/level equip and they seem to bite better at night or in rain. I find them easier to catch in general (I'm not the most proficient targeting pike or muskie) and at MI bass & trout can be targeted in some of the same area as walls, increasing overall bite rate even more.
If you're decent at catching both species and are focusing play on strictly $/hr targeting pike is prob the most effective route in MI even factoring in travel costs when staying for a 2+ days.

Thanks for the links { I already use that site :) }
I usually do only focus on $ / hr and some of the missions.
Thanks for your insight.
