St Croix, Why Walleye instead of Pike?
I read a lot about catching Walleye there for money but the Pike are twice as large and only 10% lower in price.

I'm just wondering if it's faster to fill your net twice as quickly and move to the next day with only a 10% loss for filling your net twice as fast. { If you have a small net, I see why maximising every fish is necessary }.

Pretty sure Pike is still the best there unless something has changed. Also I would fish Muskie while your are at it their are 3 different Uni Muskie you can get Regular, Clear and Tiger. Make sure to use a Titanium leader.

According to fpwiki money is a bit over 10% for trophy and 15% for unique advantage to walleye over pike & walls are nearly double what muskie is. Links below, granted info might not be the most up to date/accurate.

The main advantages with walls are they can be reeled in much easier with lower weight/level equip and they seem to bite better at night or in rain. I find them easier to catch in general (I'm not the most proficient targeting pike or muskie) and at MI bass & trout can be targeted in some of the same area as walls, increasing overall bite rate even more.

If you're decent at catching both species and are focusing play on strictly $/hr targeting pike is prob the most effective route in MI even factoring in travel costs when staying for a 2+ days.

I don't view the trophy or unique prices since the majority of fish won't be them and you might even get "young" fish that are worth the least, so it all balances out when I just go by the "common" prices.

Thanks for the links { I already use that site :) }

I usually do only focus on $ / hr and some of the missions.

Thanks for your insight.

Yes, Pike is one of the best fish for money. If you have a well balanced setup you can get some XP too i think.

What's poor XP for a 5 kg / 11 lb Pike compared to great XP for a 5 kg / 11 lb Pike?
