Multiplayer/Co-op?
Got this game with my partner because it was advertised as multiplayer. We wanted something to do to relax together, but we can't figure out how to play together.

This game seems really nicely done, but I can't see myself playing it if I can't play it the way it was advertised on the Steam market.

If co-op is not in yet, is there an ETA on when this feature might be available?

i think it is available right now, hope someone chimes in to tell you how to do that.
it has to do with private chatrooms...???

Well, I don't particularly care about chatting in text if that's what you mean. I know that can be done already.

I read earlier a dev mentioned last year that there were plans to put you and your buddy in a little boat and you'd fish together, both there in the same place. An actual co-op.

Not necessarily chatting to someone who's privately at the same in-game location on their side separate from you. Kinda dull. Also not really "multi-player".

I hope real co-op is implemented or will be implemented very soon. Because this game does look nice, but not something I'd play by myself.

Hopefully a dev can weigh in on a possible ETA for actual co-op. This game was advertised as co-op and it isn't, so I'm a bit disappointed. I'm a potentially paying player once this feature is implemented... if ever.

Well that means that my playing time in this game has definately dropped. They've been saying and saying multiplay was coming, don't worry guys its right around the corner, soon, etc, etc, etc. When it does "FINALLY" get here, show up, etc i'll be back and quite honestly a paying member but not until then.

and not paying just slows down more.
money pays for development

All I know is, I really, REALLY hope this feature is coming relatively soon-ish at this point. I couldn't care less about it for the large default public rooms (in fact, it probably wouldn't even work there), but when we start small private rooms for just us and a few friends, we really need the ability to be able to see each other and truly fish together already.

Please make this a very top priority, Alex. Personally, I'd have much preferred this feature over tournaments first. Seems so logical to me that this most basic MP functionality SHOULD be in place before tournaments, but, hey that's me.

People not paying and stop paying should speed things up . The game is on the unplayable edge as is , unless you just want to catch little fish .The game has not improved at the larger fish end only @ the bait level . You get rewarded for success not failure .
Not many people play this game. It struggles to get even near 1000 players on a good day according to Steam statistics. But if it was truly co-op/multiplayer, it would bring in more players and customers.

I also agree that that should be a priority over tournament. Bring in players BEFORE you make a game competitive. You need a playerbase to get involved in the competitive aspect if it's going to thrive, and right now, this game doesn't have the playerbase to nurture a good competitive community.

I vote for co-op to!!
Playing alone all the time is getting boring.
Also one could better help new players by physical showing where and how to throw nd' ♥♥♥♥.
JUST LIKE ONE WOULD DO IN REAL WORLD!!!
And yes, one is a paying customer enjoying the game (y)

I would love to see a co-op mode too!

The figure you have quoted are the total number of players online at any given time if you look at the number of player for the previous two weeks it is in the region of 52,000 players. That is the figure of the for the number of different players to have played the game in the last two weeks.

the amount of players online varies depending on the time of day from about 500ish to 1500ish it has been at them sort of numbers steadly for over 5 months so despite some quiting others find it and fill there place as for the game is unplayable this is compleate bs i have no problem catching all the big fish with1 exeption the trophy gar

I was specifically referencing prevailing traffic flow for a reason. Fishing Planet is a game within a niche genre, and it's probably never going to be a "big" and "popular" game in the Steam world of games. But my point is that it can certainly do better than it is currently doing, if proper co-op/multiplayer is implemented.

In theory, if that feature is added (as is advertised), it would bring in higher levels of consistent traffic. My point is that there is potential for much greater and consistent success and popularity with this feature, which I don't think anyone can disagree with.

I don't care about multi-player. I do care about co-op, which is only 2 people. You and a friend. Which is a mode most games these days feature.

This obviously isn't a feature that would appeal to people who don't have friends, but incidentally, I happen to have a partner I'd like to play with. :P
Steam is a social hub of gamers. So co-op games are always very popular.
