it has to do with private chatrooms...???
I read earlier a dev mentioned last year that there were plans to put you and your buddy in a little boat and you'd fish together, both there in the same place. An actual co-op.
Not necessarily chatting to someone who's privately at the same in-game location on their side separate from you. Kinda dull. Also not really "multi-player".
I hope real co-op is implemented or will be implemented very soon. Because this game does look nice, but not something I'd play by myself.
the timetable that fans was given for multiplayer was smtn like "after summer / when tournaments and some other stuff is finished..
money pays for development
Please make this a very top priority, Alex. Personally, I'd have much preferred this feature over tournaments first. Seems so logical to me that this most basic MP functionality SHOULD be in place before tournaments, but, hey that's me.
I also agree that that should be a priority over tournament. Bring in players BEFORE you make a game competitive. You need a playerbase to get involved in the competitive aspect if it's going to thrive, and right now, this game doesn't have the playerbase to nurture a good competitive community.
Playing alone all the time is getting boring.
Also one could better help new players by physical showing where and how to throw nd' ♥♥♥♥.
JUST LIKE ONE WOULD DO IN REAL WORLD!!!
And yes, one is a paying customer enjoying the game (y)
The figure you have quoted are the total number of players online at any given time if you look at the number of player for the previous two weeks it is in the region of 52,000 players. That is the figure of the for the number of different players to have played the game in the last two weeks.

In theory, if that feature is added (as is advertised), it would bring in higher levels of consistent traffic. My point is that there is potential for much greater and consistent success and popularity with this feature, which I don't think anyone can disagree with.
This obviously isn't a feature that would appeal to people who don't have friends, but incidentally, I happen to have a partner I'd like to play with. :P
Steam is a social hub of gamers. So co-op games are always very popular.
