Still has bugs that were pointed out in the closed beta, yet it already has Vive VR support... after that VR bandwagon eh ?
As to this new game, the second I saw the lure cam, I went nope... how dafuq can one see lure underwater and watch the fish near it.
The MP will be a mess... fish with people from all over the word, yeah right more like get trolled by kids ramming your boats and driving in front where your line is.
The trailer was terrible as well... did they pay some 2 bit hooker to ...try read those lines, I was getting bored listening to her delivery... *yawn*
Not interested in the new game but I do hope it gets enough attention to wake up FP devs, its good for us customers where there is more fish in the pool to choose from.
The underwater camera is explained by having to use an actual underwater camera.
The servers are split into different world regions.
I played in the English Server and while there were only about 6 of us at a time no one ever run their boat into me or trolled me.
I don't think you can run into someones line.
There is footage of me getting all the way to level 10.
The game is pretty stale though. I don't think it even has lures in it. You also don't get many items if you play for free. Items you do buy with money are "rented". I also never figured out how to zoom out really far like the trailer shows. I don't think you even can.
Needless to say it closed less than a year after release. This is the game re-launched and its total garbage. Ninja slash your rod from left to right or W/E way you feel like to slow the fish down. And if the fish is too near or to far away from the boat. start the engines and drive after the fish. This version has all of the excelllent visuals removed. Severley watered down and utter utter garbage. This won't last 6 months let alone a year. Only people this will appeal to are gamers. No angler worth their salt would spend longer than 10 mins in this game. Avoid like the plague. One of the worse I have played.
this game really hits the spot on "immersion".
Graphics are really good.
It definitely doesn't have the FP scratch.
It does scratch these for me:
Customizing my fishing character.
Seeing other players.
"Tiring out and fighting your fish" / You literally fight your fish with combos =P
Boating
Quests
"Random Quests" That pop up during the game.
Daily Quests
Team Play / Compete in teams of Four
Probably my main itch:
Getting items
You randomly get "Luck Cards" which are currency to use slot machines with items in them.
I won 50k!
It is an Asian MMO, so expect to grind a lot.
The one thing the game has going for it is, the INSANE amount of species.
Other then the sure number of fish species, that game will not be better then Fishing Planet UNLESS you like arcade fishing game.
The term "Pay 2 Win" gets tossed around a lot when talking about that game, the moment you start to look into the store there, you will see why.
Last time i played it was last summer when it was first released, When it comes to steam... i may give it another shot. It boasts 450 species and 30 locations.
